I've been using Rotella T6 5W-40... pretty much use it in all my "toys"... very happy with it.

I read they have dynamic EGR. During warmup it's enabled to help warm up the car faster and after that it gets disabled automatically

Dynamic EGR? Are you thinking Dynamic Idle?

They don't list it on the website. It was something I learned about and asked them about. Not sure why they don't advertise it's availability.

Dynamic EGR:

"Dynamic EGR Control is great, too. It lets the EGR run initially, where it helps heat the engine up to optimum temp, then scales it down as the temperature rises, hitting full delete at, if memory serves, about 150 F. That way, instead of EGR sooting up your intake all day, it only gets used when the benefits of a short-term recycling of gasses outweigh a few minutes of sooty air."

Why Malone doesn't advertise it as an option is beyond me. This appears to be known in the VW community and has been available on TDI's for at least the past 10 years...

So, Did you go Malone stage 2 software W Dynamic EGR
AND additional Software Based deletes?
Or simply stage 2 W Dynamic EGR?
Thanks

How does my tuning shop find the dynamic EGR tune? He couldn’t see it either, I did email Malone the same question. If anyone knows the steps to get the tune? Thanks. Rick.

Default Malone Dynamic EGR Tune

Open a ticket W Malone. Begin a email dialogue.
Be Very clear about what you are asking for.
note it’s not the dynamic idle you are after.
only a few employees know about it!

So is there any hardware required for Stage 2?

What's the benefit of deleting the SCR? Just not having to fill with adblue?
