Thank you everyone! Especially Johnathan!!! More details tomorrow. Would have posted sooner but too busy enjoying my Android radio. Fix was a matter of moving the CANBUS controller from the harness I didn’t use, to the one I did. Plug and play. Right away the HU worked :-)

I’m really liking this unit. One cool feature, the default Porsche logo is animated.

If you’re in the Metro Detroit area and are interested in the Xtrons HU upgrade, I’ve got an extra HU I haven’t returned to Amazon yet.

For those of you that upgraded to an aftermarket HU and thought you can rip out the Navigation unit ... don't. I wanted the Navigation unit out for some under seat storage along with getting some $$$ out of it. Unfortunately, after three days of not understanding why my HU was no longer putting out sound, I noted the Nav unit had fiber optics running to it. When I reconnected the Nav, my sound came back.

You just need to install a fiber to complete the loop. I had to do the same to bypass my CD changer.

+1 to this.
I did it to the navigation and the changer. The changer is a PITA to remove, or was for me.

That will only be an issue if you keep the OEM amplifier in the circuit. If you replace the OEM amplifier and install aftermarket amplifier(s) going to the aftermarket HU, it won't be an issue.

I ordered one of these last night. Have worked on fiber optic telecomm equipment I was expecting a fiber loop or splice to be painfully expensive. Not so much the case! Will try it out when it arrives and report back.

Default Android Apple CarPlay Adapter

Since this is a review thread ;-) thumbs up to the Apple CarPlay Adapter. I did regret not spending more for the Bluetooth version but as of this morning I’ve been reading complaints about lagginess.

Install IS NOT Plug and Play but it is fairly straightforward.

The fiber loop works! Not that I had any doubts.

Sid3ways, you're only 40-50 minutes from me. Contact me offline if you need help with your install. :-)

I believe as of this moment, this is the latest and greatest Xtron

That's great to hear, as I will probably need some help on this. I'm glad you found this on Amazon, makes it easy to return if there are issues to get it swapped out. I really want to get this setup so I have Apple Carplay, does it come like that out of the box or do I need to purchase something else?
