Where are you located? I'd sell mine if you are local.

I bought those same ones, they are Eagle Eyes branded SPPC. The fit and function are perfect, and they look miles better than the originals.

[I]2006 Cayenne Turbo S had leaky and fogged OEM Tail Lights that looked awful on this Marine Blue piece. Replaced with Spyder Chrome LED Tail Lights from CARiD.com. It took longer to remove the OEM and clean up the cavity than it did to hook up and install the replacements.

Two hex screws 5MM on tailgate side and one internal male stud stuck onto a plastic receiver inside near the outer edge. Protect your paint and use a plastic trim removal tool to help loosen the outboard edge.

Found lots of water in the OEM units that were removed. Lowest level of bulbs all had water damage. Replacement cleared the faults on the dash panel.

You might want to read first, then ask. They are 235$ on Amazon. I had them but i did not like them. I like the oem. I think the are too shine and too bright.
I do think the oem are way overpriced even second hand. People ask 200 for a 10 year old tail light with water in it.

I just orders the Spyder "black" and hope a good compromise to a more modern look without the brightness of their "chrome" version. When you swapped your Spyder in did you transfer bulbs?

Got the same ones for Christmas - Amazon had them for $235 a pair. Came with all the required bulbs, and since I prefer the euro (orange turnsignal - which IS legal in the US) I installed them as-is. LINK to Amazon: http://amzn.com/B00JBIBF7Y

Look very nice - unlit and lit up. One big difference over the stock ones (aside from no condensation on the inside like my stock ones have had for a while) - the backup light is now useable. The difference is amazing - much brighter, same bulb, just not masked by the red the stock ones have.

The turnsignal and reverse light are standard bulbs. The rest is LEDs. Plugged in - and they worked just fine. Well packaged and shipped quickly.

Fit and finish are fine - just make sure the wire from the body going to the lights doesn't bunch up around the one resistor pack for the LEDs. That kept the bottom from fully seating - but it took all of about a minute to figure out and install correctly.

I'm happy - might even keep me from looking for a post 2011 model soon..

Thank you everyone. This thread was very helpful.

The issue I was working to solve was the dim reverse lights caused by the dark red stock 2004 Cayenne tail light design. I had attempted to wire in bright LEDs to solve the problem of dim reverse lights, but no matter what I received faults. I even tried wiring in resisters to affect the low voltage draw of the LEDs, but I did not have any luck.

I went ahead and purchased the "SPPC L.E.D Taillights Red/Clear For Porsche Cayenne - Passenger and Driver Side" from Amazon for $235. It was a 10 min install, and they work fine.

Curious as to why there isn't a single aftermarket rear tail light for the 957 model?

Because the better ones for the 955 attempted to mimic the 957 "look". Not sure how you would improve much on the 957 taillights?

I have no problem with the OEM. I just like the euro look on the dark spyder version.
