I like the standard Red / Clear LED's. They give the Cayenne a slightly updated look and should never burn out and are slightly brighter than stock. I don't care for the ricey looking mostly clear ones or the Square turn signal around the backup lights type.

The real question is - can you actually see behind you at night when backing up?

I have an Alpine aftermarket rear view camera that works very well in the dark with the stock back up lights.

I just installed the Ipex LED tail lights I bought on Ebay. I would say they are a 10/10. I am a hard critic .. so they are truly very nice. They look like they belong on the car, and build quality as good as stock ones. They are much brighter, and have both upper and lower lights on as night driving lights, VS the stock ones which have only lower. They are made in Taiwan, but like I said .. build quality very very good. I have several pictures of the lights in various usage modes .. with comparison vs stock.
I highly recommend them! Totally change the look of the car .. to 2012!

I really never had a problem with the stock backup lighting, as I have a rear view camera. That being said, it seems a little brighter as the light is coming through clear plastic instead of red. It does use the same bulb as the stock one. The blinker and reverse light are not LED.

Ok, I have the stock back up camera in my '06 CTTS which is good enough so I may buy a set of these tail lamps too. I do think they ad a slight update to the rear of the Cayenne and the life of the LED's should be much more than the stock incandescents.

The update is much more than slight. It is hard to capture with pictures. There really is no comparison. Also when they are on, the difference is night and day. The stock ones look old!

One thing I should add. The blinker and backup light bulbs are the made in china kind. I put in osram ones. You can reuse the ones from you stock lights.

Thanks for the follow up CarreraCup03.

Would you mind posting a pic during the day with no lights on, just a nice beauty shot to show them off?
