rlporter5, it should be in the system. He has to look for it. Initially I had the same issue but my dealer managed to find it. Finally the vessel is in the Port. Now the dealer has to give me the delivery date based on the port clearance.

I asked him to get some help with it, and just today he found it. I believe the answer was the individual salesperson's computer could not access it, but the GM's computer could. Anyway, they confirmed the vessel, and I am now tracking it - it's in the Celtic Sea and in route. Should be here by the end of the month. The main thing is coordinating my schedule to be in town when it arrives.

Thanks porschefun, and others, for your guidance on this...persistence pays off.

route66 my dealer told me 4 to 5 days to clear from the port.
From port to dealership 2 days.
1 day in dealership to prep the car.

I expect to get in my hand by mid of next week. My port is Davisville RI and its already there for 2 days.

Wink 2012 Sand Yellow Cayenne

Took delivery of 2012 Cayenne v6 today, ordered as a 2011 4/5/11. Shipped
6/27 arrived Houston 7/15. Backup camera not working til missing part comes
in. First impressions good, previous ride was '04 ML350 and this seems quieter
and peppier. A/C strong in 100 degree Oklahoma heat.

Finally picking up my 2012 Cayenne S tomorrow. Originally ordered back in March for a April build but dealer said order got delayed and ended up getting a June build car. Excited to get the first 2012 in Hawaii. Anyway, anyone leased one recently? Dealer quoted me a money factor of .0036 which is way to high. Orig money factor quoted was .0024 but he said it went up recently. I was quoted 3.9 for 60mo purchase but need to lease for business write off.

How are the residuals on the 2012s? Did they move up to partly offset the move in the money factor?

Thanks porschefun. I ended up buying rather than leasing. I figured it wasn't worth the extra costs with little incentive since sec 179 has so many restrictions.

Yes. Order is in for September delivery. I know what the payments looked like when I ordered in May, but they change based on MF and residual at delivery. Both the sales manager and I assumed an " early" 2012 would have a higher residual than the 2011 did in may since it was the end of the run for the 2011 model year.

For instance, I think the residual dropped by 3-4% between December and May.
