I guess it's relative. There are customers complaining about this fact others not...so best advice is that you should check it out yourself if you don't want to be disappointed.

Ordered Cayenne S, Meteor Grey/black, Prem Plus, 19's around fourth of July, to be built this week with completion Aug 20, delivery to Minnesota about 5 wks later. Got one grand off list. Looking forward to delivery (as it takes the place of 2006 Carrera cab)....

Thx to all on Rennlist for sharing their insight and experience!

First post, guys.
Took delivery of my 2012 Cayenne S a month ago and couldn't be more pleased. Black on black with the premium plus pkg. It bumped up the cost a little more than I was originally planning to spend, but now I'm glad I did it.
Still waiting on the backup camera though. At first they were saying a couple of weeks at most, but now it's a month with no word.

It is true. I don't think we would be so engaged if this was just an order.
RESP..I guess you've placed your order in Alberta..How long did you have to wait since placing the order till build completion?

I've placed mine in Ontario late April and the estimated build completeion date is sometime in November.

Was the backup camera funcioning when you took the European delivery?

We placed our order 15 March 2011, was built 3 June, we picked it up 5 July.

Seems a bit long, but if your dealer has high demand, and low allocation, you get to wait. At least you will get it before the snow flies! And you might sneak in with an earlier build and delivery date if someone else cancels an order. You can still make lots of changes between now and the "lock in" date.

No, it wasn't Not sure if it will be when we get it next week, but we hope so!

It will definitely be worth the wait! We've only had her a short time, but it was pretty much all driving when we did have her. We are very happy with our pepper!

Yes dealers in the GTA has high demand especially for the V6. I could've had it in July/August if I placed the order with the dealer in London but that's like 3-4 hours driving.

I hope you'll have the backup camera functioning when you receive her.

I haven't heard of any way for the purchaser to track the pepper.
The dealer has to get the info for you.
Some dealers seem to be better at finding things out, like which ship is being used for shipping.
Ask your sales rep to help you out.

And nice Cayenne!

Have people gotten their backup cameras working yet? When I picked up my Cayenne last month, the dealer said the issue should be resolved in a couple of weeks but I still haven't heard anything. Should I be beating down the door of my dealer or do I still need to wait a while?
