Thanks mudman didn't know about the secret access panel - I know the CDC can not be in the loop just wasn't sure if it could be unplugged without ripping out all the trim in the back.

I spoke with mObridge yesterday and they getting the orders out even though some members did not follow through with their orders - NOW which ones bailed on us

Well I am not sure you can get to the connectors without removing the trim you will need to remove to take it out, but you could try.

"We are running a bit behind due to a large number of commercial orders and
also as of early this week we were still missing about five orders from the
group but at this point we won't let that hold it up"

Was the response I got...at least it will be worth it IMO

Received my email from mObridge on Fri., faxed my order info in this AM. Unfortunately I forgot to mention anything about the RL group buy on the order form, hopefully they'll pick it up.

Thanks again for setting this up.

Do you actually have to remove the CDC from the loop or is it just disabled. If you simply unplug it doesn't it break the "chain" and interrupt the fiber optic signal? Do you need a jumper of some kind to bypass the changer?

I'm lukewarm about the iPod thing but I can't wait to add a Sirius receiver to the aux input! I know this sounds bass ackwards but I figure the Cayenne "kit" is a bit pricey at $1200 so this is the next best thing and I get to use an iPod as an added plus. Once I get this up and running I am getting the Reus system installed also!

You don't have to but its a lot of work to get to the plugs on the CDC. If you did manage it you would need a bypass loop which Mobridge supply.

Mine arrived today, but I don't see any install instructions. Is it just that easy that I can out there and know how to install it?
