I think Paul (speed) has done this swap so I'm sure he'll chime in.

As for performance gains, I don't think you're going to see meaningful HP increases but what you should see is that the car maintains peak performance (HP) longer especially during hot days and under heavy load. The bigger/more efficient IC will keep the inlet temps cooler longer and therefore the ECU won't kick in and pull timing and modify the fuel/air mixture to keep the temps from rising

I think this is probably a good investment if you live in an area where you see a lot of 90 degree hot and humid days

Good Luck

thanks for your reply
I live in Spain, here in summer exceeds 90 °
the mixture would be richer in oxygen, more oxygen cold air gain power???

No new hp but you won't lose hp with heat soak. I'm not sure it makes a big difference on a modern 997 tt but its a huge factor on the old air cooled 930s.

hi,guys

intercoolers are already installed gt2rs
I have drawn two conclusions one good and one bad, but the good I'm not 100% sure
the good news first or the bad news?
I start with the good.

the car keeps the turbo boost in a more constant high rpm had more or less with it and was one of the objectives, comes up and keeps the turbo for longer.
but I can not secure to relevant evidence need abu road-dabhi in which the Top Gear test a lamborghini murcielago and if I do here in Madrid I probably end up in jail or in the cemetery

now for the bad news, THE LAG has increased markedly, until they fill the intercooler takes a while and you have to step over what I had to do before to start circuit has filled the air, has its logic, is more difficult and costs more than a trombone playing a trumpet head:

Now I have a big problem, one of the things I liked about my car, especially after changing the exhaust is that the answer was like a little atmospheric delay had now canceled the improvement we had to change the system Exhaust and now the lag is more evident than when the car was standard.

NEED HELP

one flhas ecu, can solve the problem of LAG?
if so do not understand how you can fix it, I have always understood that the compressor is moved by the exhaust gases, by changing the ecu turbos will start to move before?

Fix the boost leak, you should have no discernable increase in lag.

Question for the experts but why wouldn't a boost leak trigger some kind of ECU error? Is is possible to confirm it with a durametric scan to see if such an error was recorded?

As Earl3 said, find the leak. You will have to check all the connections or better yet> pressurize the intake system to 20 PSI..

The leak most likely is a hose that is seating in the circlip half way. At startup and part duty cycle the system is intact. Once boost is ramped up, the gap is exposed.

Question>> did you install the exhaust at the same time as the IC's?? If the exhaust is too restricted that would impact your spool up.. Increased back pressure will impact the way the turbine spools up.

A boost leak will not trigger a code.. That why they are very difficult to trace.. I agree.. the IC's should cause no additional lag.. You have boost leak.. Like others said the likely suspect is coming from the iC hose. That connection must be modified to make the RS IC fit... Perhaps yours wasn't done properly..
