Yes, indeed.

And true to character you have been much better at giving advice than following it yourself.......

Unfortunately, I am not allowed to put anyone on Ignore.

However, I am awaiting permission for "Set Phasers to Kill" rather than just "Set Phasers to Stun".

I saw that but my screen looked different (PC vs Mac? Admin vs. regular user?) so I posted a screenshot. Thanks for providing me with the great idea nonetheless.

Isn't he a car salesman anyway?
In that case it behooves him to push the new product line, no matter the facts.

^ um, i think he's a physician, or a mysogynist. or both. i can't remember. understanding facts would be important in the former, not so much the latter.

Perhaps in 10 years.
Time alone will determine just how good the 9A1 is/was compared to the Metzger family.

Gladly!

When the 9A1 makes its way into the motorsport division, wins race after race and the same motor makes its way into the road variants... (ie. cup cars etc sharing the same motor as the road GT# variants...) At that point he can claim victory... Hopefully he won't be holding his breathe in the mean time as it'll be a while before the new motor proves itself as being a worthy replacement to the Metzger.

I am exactly 2 years and 30K miles into my average of buying a new Porsche every 10 years and putting around 15K miles/year on. I look back at the 993 to 996 to 997 evolution in terms of performance, reliability and used pricing versus buying the new model.

I would love to have some of the improvements in the new model if I was a trade up kind of person, but the trade up cost versus an established reliability are way too high. Too early to say if the new motor will eventually prove itself as reliable as the old.
