I replaced my air condensers, and installed mesh behind the bumper openings. Job was relatively easy, but for...
TBH - It was a PITA job in a small hot garage, but will be taking it all apart again this weekend to complete correctly! Might even take some pictures this time
- Attempted reassembly 1. The mesh grilles need to be trimmed to the exact size, otherwise they won't fit in the air condenser or radiator cowls
- Attempted reassembly 2. The cowl around the radiator wasn't seated right, so after installing the bumper I found the bottom screws didn't align
- Completed reassebly 1. Upon refitting the bumper and screwing everything up I realised I didn't screw the condenser cowls back in, just fit them into the tabs! 😩😩😩

My indie quoted me ~$5k, which seems to be what I have seen across most people. $3k is a steal at this point.

If you can get the engine drop alone for 3k - jump on it! I was quoted 6k-8k for just the labor here in Houston.

That's crazy, my indy can drop and replace the engine for like $1200. They've done a bunch and are super fast with it. (Which is lucky because my car's needed it a couple times...)

What's the name of your indy? Heck, I'll drive up to SA and have them pin my lines and take care of the water pump, starter and all other rubber bits and bobs . . .

I agree that the total is gonna be around 3-5k but $1200 in labor for the engine drop is a darn good deal.

Up on blocks for the first time. Getting ready for brakes, radiator clean and exhaust.
***EDIT*** Before anyone freaks out about the Jenga blocks.....they are assembled (glued and nailed) into a single unit. IMO waaaaay more sturdy than jack stands as these have a 12" square base and a 6" square pad at the top for the puck to sit on. No balancing a puck on a v-groove jack stand for me.
