Well, several things. I completed the brakes: New pads, turned rotors and soldered the wear indicator leads together and tucked them away. While I had everything apart (but still on the car) I cleaned the calipers, springs, pins and bolts all before reassembly. I completed the Tubi exhaust install. I also inspected and cleaned the intercoolers while they were off the car for the exhaust swap. Lastly, I removed the front bumper to clean debris from the radiators. I have to think that this is the first time this has been done to this car (I've had it for a little over a year). Several zip ties, tons of leaves, bugs, pebbles, and a few other goodies.

Got the new exhaust and installed it. Titanium. 3". V-bands on test pipes-to-x pipe design allows for ease of removal and maintenance. Vibrant Ti Resonators. Anodized tips. Final weight with hardware: 16 lbs.

Pretty phenomenal. I have some video of it but nothing spectacular. Some dry revs. Weather in MD is pretty crappy right now so. If you're interested in seeing/hearing:

That custom exhaust sounds incredible. Is that typically a more affordable approach vs. buying an off-the-shelf Speedtech or whatever? I'd think custom might cost more? (Then again, I could see a custom maker being more affordable because they don't need to pay to run a website/warehouse/ads/etc.?)

Swapped out the chrome emblems for black ones. Looks nice with the black exhaust tips and black wheels.

This could go both ways. I personally find the price they charge for our exhausts comical. I believe it’s along the lines of “they will pay, so why not”.

My other vehicle is a F350. I can purchase a full 5” SS turbo back exhaust, with muffler, for $600.

Obviously catless, but my Speedtech 3” is catless as well and that was quiet pricey.

And the people that will say think about the labour and craftsmanship, etc. Nonsense. Welders are a dime a dozen and cheap.

BTW I support people making money....

thank you. In my case it made sense to go custom. The final price point on labor and exotic material construction came in LOWER than one of the big name brands.

Glad I’m not the only one that sees the excessive PORSCHE tax for aftermarket parts.

.
Yeah, I didn't want to diminish the work of exhaust builders but I was kind of thinking, seems like with some measurements, a tube bender and some welding skills, it shouldn't be rocket science to make a catless x-pipe, so I wonder if a "freelancer" not exploiting the Porsche Tax could make one for a pretty reasonable price.

When installing exhaust last year, I had hard time finding the best way to remove rear bumper by myself without scratching anything especially since you have to disconnect license plate lights. Eventually I came up with this solution. Works for me thought I would share
