Minor accidents like this are the worst... I've always wondered what Hagerty does here. He says its $24k fix, but then another $10k off his resell.... in an RS thats more like 50k. Its sad because there is very little to the rear bumper... the aluminum bracket is easily replaced and so is the muffler/heatshield/bumper itself.

I don't feel it's that minor an accident. Unless my eye's are playing tricks on me that looks like an abnormal amount of rear toe in, which may explain the high repair cost.

the buckets arn't spec, if they removed them and lowered the price $5k they would get what they want. Also removing J-hooks are always a good idea if you dont want ppl to think its been tracked

Agreed, thought I was the only one that knows it is not minor as in just some cosmetics.

Initially, I thought it was only the rear bumper and light. Now I see the rear wheel pushed in.

Where did he say $24k fix? I don't know if there is a change in toe-in, I think it simply looks that way because the rear fender got pushed in.

There's no real push in of the rear fender when you look at the close up image, it's bounced back. But that rear wheel has absolutely been caught by the other vehicle and rotated forward due to the load

The bumper and heat shield compressed and the rear wheel took the real impact is what it looks like.

The suspension components on these cars are easily bent when force is applied in a direction they were not designed for. They are easily swapped out. That impact is very minor. I bet a new control arm, thrust arm. possibly toe arm and alignment would have that car back to square.

I’d argue both points based on a friend who was literally at the bank wiring funds when they said “oh yeah, it’s got an oil leak too…” there were also other issues with how the seller was doing business.
mutiple people who have dealt with seller told me “karma is a bitch” when they saw what happened!

YMMV.

I spoke with Moe @ Vanquish last week. It's his personal car and he's not terribly keen to sell unless he gets full pop. I put an email into him over the weekend with all sorts of questions but have yet to hear back.
