There weren't a lot of buyers in the room today. It's slowing down and now all the .1's seem to be coming out of the woodwork, albeit a little late.

The real question is, where is Snaveed

It's just not a collector quality car - buyer will find that out I'm sure - and who is the person that paid 250k for an RS and didn't bother to google the vin?

Curious, why would you say this? Too many owners? Service history lacking? Tracking history?

Looks like the first owner was member mrosen, who tracked the car, who then sold it to David Schacht, who didn't appear to track it. From the looks of that thread, he Queened it in his garage.

The next owner was Kfitzpat9, who flips cars. He's here in So Cal. So he buys and sells. Drives them a little bit. He Bat sold it last year to the current seller who just sold it yesterday.

From the mrosen's video, it appears that mrosen didn't really drive it very hard on the track. If the video is any indication of the track duty he inflicted on the car, it's no worse than what the crew does down here in the Crest. That car was tracked like a cream puff. Track Rat.... I wouldn't call it that. Track mouse seems more fitting.

A rising tide lifts all boats and who's to say if prices will ever subside. I can say one thing, I would have a difficult time shelling out this type of cash for this car. The sum is greater than all the parts but the parts just don't add up to $250,000 if you want to drive the car. Speculation and investment is a whole different game.

How do you know they didn't? Right or wrong, $250k seemingly doesn't buy a collector quality RS these days.

I may consider listing my black 997 4L with 10k miles for sale. What do you guys think the car would go for? I'm thinking around $600k.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...he-911-gt3-27/

What do you guys think this sells for in todays market? I think the seller would have made a bit more if the seller waited 1-1.5 years. Crazy market and times lol

Such a difficult question and all comes down to who’s in the room at that moment for the auction. Also, while the 3.9 would deliver a better driving experience for most enthusiasts, the purists that are paying top dollar to collect, hold and profit are likely going to stay away from a modified example like that, unfortunately. To answer your question though, if the right people were in the room, maybe $130k?

Lot of insightful comments above..
Is there anyone here who always wanted a 997 RS but almost got priced out of the market these last 10-12 months? That's position I'm in right now. Every car is a stretch, so I don't know whether to buy now or try to wait till the market cools off but risk prices going even higher if sports car prices don't get affected much. So much FOMO

What happened on the High Mileage Aqua Blue RS? That seemed like a great driver. Not sure your use case.

Idk but I do regret not buying any of the sharkwerks 3.9 cars. Just cause I don’t want to wait.
