Been teetering back and forth on this and made the choice to hold out for a .2 GT3
Ever since they came out when I was in high school it’s just always resonated with me.
Upped the budget, expanded color choices and on the lookout.

Ultimately it sounds like both seller and buyer were happy with transaction. Hope buyer enjoys many good miles in it.

The GT market is super hot. Cars are not lasting a full day without having a pending sale.

FWIW - When I was shopping for a GT3 it seemed like the GT cars were underpriced in comparison to a 992 C2S or even a 991.2 C2S The 997 GT cars were actually much cheaper, but in my mind they were 5x the driving experience, so I think the current market is more up to date when comparing driving experience and rarity to the mix.
One thing I would add, is it has always been hard to find a good car, at least it was for me. The market was not as chaotic as now (Started looking fall of 2019), but sellers were reluctant, some never messaged back, there were not that many cars for sale without issues, it has always been slim pickings. I actually considered a 991.2 manual GT3 or GT3 Touring due to not finding the car I wanted and when calling multiple dealers and asking about 997GT cars, they basically said they never see them, they might see one every 5 years coming in for service, but never have one for sale. They are hard to find and will always be hard to find, so you pay what seems like a premium now, but in my mind it might be a bargain at some point. I think the cars continue to go up which means you can drive them *put miles on them* and use them, but since they are low in numbers (rarity) you can still ask a good number at some point down the road. Just my$.02

chuckling ..... the more I re-read my post above,... the more I like my statement & will start to re-use it in my 1:1 conversations...
"wish I overpaid yesterday, for a car that's worth more today"
... kinda reminds me of J. Wellington Wimpy and his hamburger deal for Popeye

With the market the way it is and seeing some of these recent sales, is the range for a clean 997.1 GT3 now $110-$120k, 997.2 GT3 $130-$140k? Higher?

That's how I see it. And anything with crazy low mileage and/or super high spec is even more. I can't see a sub 10k mile .2 with a highly desirable spec selling for under $150K right now.

I think with the white one that sold in like a day for full ask shows that some people still have quite a bit of cash to spend and when the right one appears, they jump for it regardless of the price. And good for them honestly since they got what they were looking for. For some of the other buyers on here right now (like me) we don't have that luxury of just throwing out 120k and need to be a little more prudent with this process. This market is like a sine wave; it goes up, goes down etc. There may come a point where it keeps going up like the aircooled cars and that time could be now but it is hard to say. Just my two cents.

I don’t think the market for a non RS is that high yet.

thats about right......you could broaden it slightly and say $100k low end to $125k for a clean 997.1......Miles, Colors, Specs factoring in. And $125-150k for subsequent 997.2’s. I know of a Guards Red 997.2 that just transacted at $140k.....with Carbon Buckets and that was a “Good Buy“ IMHO. Buy the car you want and don’t worry about an extra 5k or 10k. You can always make that extra $$ back....and Life is Too Short not to.... 🙌🏻🤣
