It's not actually for sale - they said it was just a website glitch. It was listed there a little over a year ago.

Thanks for noticing..

I know that mod! Yea, just trying to show how GD long it took me to work my way up to my current car. My old man taught me how to work my *** off and how to buy and sell sports cars. That's 30 years of dragging a rolling rack and samples around the Midwest when it's -10 below. Always paid cash for them too..

All: this is seriously the most helpful car-buying thread on the Interwebs...! You guys are so knowledgeable it's ridiculous.

I've been debating getting a 997 GT3 RS recently (amazing that these prices are same as that of a 2016 GT3 RS....).

Any newer thoughts on this one that was discussed a while back here? Has minor cosmetic damage apparently, but is now a CPO (and the Porsche dealer is saying it's comparable to one that sold for $180K on BAT..), listed for 158K:

VIN: WP0AC2A90BS783235

Looks like I'm going to have to be very patient here...

If they were willing to CPO it, and it's what your looking for, i'd jump on it. You're not going to find that kind of peace of mind with any others currently on the market. Frankly you don't see it very much with an 11 year old car.

I don't know that I would trust that. It may be pulling from a disclosure or "announcement" at the auction it ran through, and those are not reliable. If seats are known to be swapped out they usually say frame damage or structural alteration. It's certainly a reason to exercise due diligence but Autocheck is not super reliable. For that matter neither is Carfax.

Wait it out. 158 is quite high. Asking for a non-storied car.

though the reliability of 991 GT3/RS aren’t hindering the valuations either......

As seen in the recent pages of this thread, some dealers are knowingly asking how to further advantage themselves in negotiating. $125 ask down to 114. That’s nearly 10%.

Definitely a sellers market in “most” cases. But you see one, buy it. Or ask Zeus for his....
