Update: I am buying this car.
I ordered a PPI, showing a clean bill of health. Mechanically, it appears to be in great condition. Cosmetically, there are a few noted items but no real cause for alarm. The notable things brought up from the PPI are being addressed by the dealer as well.
Yes, the car has spent time on a track. No, that doesn’t bother me. I will likely continue to use it on a track from time to time. I’ve window shopped the GT3 for years. Cobalt blue has always been my favorite Porsche color. It is finally time to take the plunge. I look forward to the GT3 ownership experience.

Glad that you're jumping in, you'll be more happy then you were "pre-GT3".

I would get a PPI done on it, make sure you check the PCCB's and you should be good to go. However, I would compare the price with this one that Switchcars has for sale. If it is within a reasonable amount I would be buying the one that Switchcars has.

I do agree that Switchcars offers an big advantage over buying from an unknown dealer and should be a no-brainer to work with Doug. Especially on an expensive Porsche GT car, with so much variance in the public marketplace with condition and history. And we all know, each and every car for sale has a history and a “story”, hopefully a good story.

Yes, I did speak with Doug and his car is quite nice. The car I chose from Champion Porsche was a situation where they knew the local owner well. So they were able to confirm maintenance history, the PCCB condition and importantly; original paint. So much so, they were able to CPO the car, which is a huge bonus IMO.

^^^ Never seen seat headrest crest like that before. Looks like stickers
Also looks like it bounced back & forth between Annapolis & Raleigh during the first 5 yrs & owned right in my backyard. Strange service records that had it serviced at lexus in Raleigh one day, then serviced in Annapolis the very next day. Looks like that was not just a once occurrence either. weird.
Never saw it around town.

I was on that car really strong, I think it was probably right at 160, that’s what they agreed with me but the logistics of a West Coast East Coast transaction led me to a 997.1 rs instead
For me it’s been a good time shopping and a good time to buy as I think the prices have come down to reality and I suspect they’ll continue to slide when a bunch of 991.2 manuals are available, the production numbers are so high for the 991s I figured I could always buy one of those later on
I think the 997.2 RS on bring a trailer will be a good reflection of current market if the buyers come out

In regards to the Marshall Goldman car, I will see what it sold for. In Ohio we can find the selling price of cars after they sell. I saved the VIN so I will check in a couple of weeks and try to remember to report back.
