- Miles are good. Worth $165k in today's market. Asking $225k is insane. At $185k there are no buyers.
I'll take it this instant at 165

This car is definitely worth around 180-185K with these miles.

good color combo and low miles- only missing PCCb's and PCM..

Buyers are lurking- dumping their 991's for 997's.

Default Metrolina GT3

What’s the deal with the metrolina GR gt3? It’s been for sale forever, I have a DME and it wasn’t exactly pretty , but does anyone know the story on this? I’ll post the DME once I can find it in my email. Car shows decent in pictures for the miles....https://www.metrolinaautogroup.com/2...C_26460726.veh

Let's check back in a month ... plenty of time for $185k buyers to step up even though this car has been on the market for sometime already ... if its gone them maybe you are right but if its still there then the market is saying your are not.

Agreed. A very similar car passed through BaT last week at 185K. My car sold at 167K with 19,000 miles. IMO 165K for this car is much more indicative of a wholesale price that a broker would use when buying to resell (I know for a fact from my experience). Sellers/owners probably think this is a 185K car, brokers see this is as a 165K car. This is the game. It all depends on who's interest is being represented. If I was looking for a 7.2 RS I would reach out to Mooty asap. I assure you his cars are correct and if he is asking 175K for them I would pick up the phone...

I would hurry and tie that one up, schedule PPI and get ready to stroke a check. Looks like a keeper.

Seems cheap for Shift: they charge the earth for most of their cars. For example, they have a 2008 C2S with 30,000 miles for $60k (which is $10k more than anyone else would even ask, let alone get, as that is very solid 997.2 money) and a Cayman R for $70k (30,000 miles) that they have had forever, probably at least a year by now. Why anyone would buy that when you could get the one listed over on the PCA board with 1/3 the miles for $7k less beats me. Heck, they have a low mile Laguna Seca Blue E92 M3 for $84,000, and it isn't even a manual. I don't know of anyone that thinks the E92 M3 is collectible at this point; that has to be a good $35k above retail based on the paint color. Late model PTS cars don't fetch anywhere near that kind of premium, let alone BMW. I typically see "individual" cars priced the same as a standard color.

The fact that it is "reasonably priced" from this dealer would give me pause. They must cater to some really rich, clueless people.

Someone with more time should make a list of all the clean 997.2 GT3 for sale here. It seems like there are at least 4 or 5 up right now, all priced close to where they should be. Is everyone moving to a different car? I usually see only 1 or 2 for sale at any given time.

I've only seen the 2007 blue GT3 for sale on Rennlist as of late. Any others you folks can mention?

I'm on the fence a little bit about timing and whether or not the 997.2 GT3 will depreciate (even slowly) or not. I have a 991 and frankly miss having a 997. I think the 997 will be looked at as fondly as the 993 by history. Maybe even more so.

Here is what I have seen recently. Most asking prices are falling into the very low 100's. I don't know if they will go lower than that, as the 991 GT3 are getting down there as well, and the GT4 (which, according to John at Soul, a lot of people cross shop with the 997 GT3, as it is about as fast stock), is dropping into the 80's consistently.

It certainly means options at that 80-100k price point!

any insight on this one guys? Heres the DME as well, I’m sure the miles plus this are why it’s not moving fast.
