You said it. It's the most iconic color for a 997.1 GT3RS. So much so that I placed it on the bucket list and now that it's in the bucket, meh, I'm not really fond of it. I like it, just don't love it. In the right light it shines but place it in some bad light it looks like a creamsicle with a pastel tone to it and I hate anything pastel. Also not much you can do to it for customization. It's a fricken orange car. The only other color that goes with it is black. That being said I'm holding it but will sell in a heartbeat for the right price and if I can secure a replacement at the same time.
Why not post what your miles are and the "right price" then? Someone may take you up on it.

Think I might give a slight edge to green just based on rarity. Aslo love white especially in the standard spec with no side graphics and silver wheels. Looks super clean and more under the radar.

I would have to find a replacement first. Have had inbox flooded in the past with inquiries so in order to keep it at a minimum, I'd say show me $300 for a 19k example and a replacement.

Seeing all three in the wild, on the same road ironically, at different times/dates, not an orange person at all, but pumpkin looked great IMO. I always thought green would be my favorite, but I think pumpkin is my favorite for .1rs, gives me hints of Tangerine from the 73rs which I prefer to Viper on 73rs. Obviously, both are fantastic and iconic.
geeen for me. I remember when I drove the Nurburgring back I. 2013 saw the green on passing me up looked and sounded so amazing, but I’d take the pumpkin as well love that color. Can’t go wrong with either.

I kinda agree… I wanted the Kermit for a long time until I saw both of them at a car show and in mid day direct sun they looked a bit dull or pastel. But carrara always surprised me how good it looks in person… however they all look good at sunset.
.1RS was always high on my dream car list, but I’d never seen one in person until Luft 9. And then it was done. Had to have it. It’s admittedly a lot in person, but I think it fits the car’s character.
I’d probably be equally happy with a Kermit, but couldn’t possibly be happier with another car or color . . . for now.
Luft car below. They had it tucked away in that corner pretty far off the main path, so suddenly seeing it by itself in a clearing as you walked through an alley was super dramatic and cool. The staging of that entire event was stunning.
Pumpkin is my favorite. If you have any 997 GT car though, you’re doing pretty well in the car world, so we all should be thankful for what we have.
Although I had seen 997 GT cars for many years, the first .1RS that really stuck with me was a Pumpkin that my friend had gotten in. I still remember walking into his shop and seeing it in there. Although I don’t ever see myself selling my .1 GT3 for a .1RS (I’m too deep emotionally and financially into mine), it’s certainly the .1RS I think of first. It also helps that it was the press color.

You should take all the black decals off, powder coat/paint (or whatever is OE) or change the wheels to OEM GT3 silver and change the black mirrors/winglets (if you have) to body color. I think it makes a world of difference!

LOL i kind feel the same about my greyblack/red RS. Love the color scheme for others but not so much on my own car. Changed the wheels a bunch, even tried no livery when it got PPF'd but ended up with it back to stock config... somewhat reluctantly. Sometimes I consider going with a non RS in a brighter color but finding the right spec and car is near impossible.
