The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

As some who sold privately and just bought privately (super pumped) there is a realistic market, a bat market, and a dealer market. I would say dealers are squeezing the extra 15% on asking* but settle around 10% over private sales. Which is reasonable to make money if it’s a business and job…. I bought the giveaway car, I know almost all the history from the previous companies that took care of the car.
there are a few rs’s for sale that I know of 3 maybe 4. But 2 of the private sellers want all the money as if * they were dealers, if that’s the case they will be on bat.

that's just confusing to me. When the word "rare" is brought into the equation because of the cars build year, I start to think about how "collectable" the car would be to a collector (or an investor). But if a guy is searching for a Artic .1 w/ PCCB, leather & NAV,.. is that guy really going to pay more cuz its a '08 verses a '07?
Look at CGT, 05 trades premium to the 04 model year.
Same love here for 07 and 08. In fact prefer them all day to 10 and 11 model years.

I’m also going to miss your RS content too much and was hoping for a 4.1 Sharkwerks build video first

A - Most never find a better 911 driving experience
B - The car, most likely, is only going to up in value
C - Buying back into a good 997GT example is not easy
I think going to BAT or off-loading to a dealer in many ways -- is the seller pulling the remorse band-aid off and just tying to move on...These cars are that good IMVHO, so sellers want their price to justify moving on, or they need their price to help pay the next seller's price for a better example.

Here is what people are missing. This board is littered with seller's remorse, anecdotally that has been my sense with my local community as well. Owners who actually sold then had to struggle and get back into a 997GT car, they will point blank tell you, do not sell.

Oh totally, I don't think there is a better car. I just live in a crowded city area and sort of don't enjoy driving a $300k car around in heavy congestion traffic. I drive it a couple of times a week and to the mountains often but that is an hour each way just to enjoy it. Thinking my risk threshold is slightly lower. Maybe a high mile .1 non RS with some prev paint work and a .2 rs gearset is more suiting for me HAHA.
For the RS price differential, you could have a well sorted NB car and 1-2 air cooled, boxster spyder, etc.

Get up at 4:30 am for a drive. It's what I do. Car is worth it.

I push my car out of the garage, let it roll down the drive backwards and get it rolling down the street before I fire it up in the early am, although I have not driven it in over a month. It sits in the garage under two covers and a trickle.
