The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...
I highly doubt this. The 996 GT2 in the collection is questionable, for example. Has a vinyl wheel from a Carrera instead of leather, wheel finishing from later GT cars, and a few other little things. Once you start to pick apart some of the cars, they're not all great examples, it feels like some he just bought to fill out the collection quickly.

The owner did an article with Total 911 a few years ago that I’ll attach.

Could you name the things you noticed on the 996 GT2. If you are referring to the vinyl airbag cover (as the rim is clearly leather) from my research I believe it to be correct for this car. 996 GT2 is not my area of expertise, but looked at one that’s part of the Porsche museum (or belongs to PCNA) and others that have been for sale and it’s seems about half have vinyl airbag covers.

All 996 GT2’s came standard with full leather, but some still have a vinyl airbag cover. These are a few later gen GT2’s I was able to find with this.

This one is on consignment, and there are a handful of other mods beyond what is in the description. Tow hook still in place, bumper is painted red around the grille opening, red painted mirrors, H&R springs, OZ wheels, red roll bar, red seat belts and gauge faces, intake, muffler bypass. A fender liner had its edge ripped off, rear bumper looked like maybe it also had some paint work, and the front lip and under aero was pretty well scraped up or gone. I think it's going to be there for a long time at the ask.

it’s actually black ppf, from what I can tell it was installed before the accident but it’s probably covering up damage. That whole car is rough, potential RMS leak, bent suspension parts, rust, crushed floor pans, overspray on the bumpers etc
if anyone wants to see pictures of the damage feel free to message me
