997 GT3/RS Overpriced?? Is anyone actually paying the premium?

Do you guys have any guesses on how much a 07 RS orange would sell for privately? 10K miles, second owner, GT2 buckets, orange oem half cage, ccb, full leather, some carbon bits, super clean and not a track horse (sadly). PM is fine.

Edit*** it was a black car not an orange one. Sorry.

Those are 2010+ There are sold GT3 in the mid 70s recently, no 07 08 RS listed. Assuming 100-115 for an 07/8 RS then I think 80k salvage is good for you and maybe optimistic (at least with this crowd). That is assuming the entire repair is well documented and verifiable. You may have better luck with a broker or consignment and paying that fee.
Like others mentioned if I was buying this the interior and underbody wheel panels would be coming off for a full inspection, setting it up on an alignment and chassis rig to verify chassis before I touched it. At 140mph on the track you don't need surprises. To really move the car you might want to fund that yourself from a well regarded norcal shop to do a deep PPI at your cost to fully document the car top to bottom (of course, buyer to perform their own).

Agree 100% on the ppi - full pictures pre and post and all details will help immensely here

So I found a 3.8 RS that I like. What do you guys recommend I do as far as pre-purchase inspections?
What are good indications of the car's previous usage?
And what to look out for (good and bad)?

I think you got a fair deal given the current state of the market. Congrats and enjoy!

Is car local or? If local I have a few suggestions and would be happy to look at car with you if I'm around.

What do guys think my car could fetch? I'd really like to upgrade to an F430 or Gallardo. It's an 07 GT3 with 20k miles. Very modded (moton suspension, other upgraded suspension bits, CF cup rear bumper, CF grand am fenders, K40 radar, rollbar, 6pt harness, muffler bypass, corner balanced, ecu tuned, BBS e88 wheels, euro gt3 seats, nav, xenon, sport chrono, and also ZERO overrevs in all ranges. I've never tracked it during my ownership. Previous owners have. It's currently wrapped which certainly helps with protecting the paint and also maintenance.
