Have these been registered in CA? Is it as a 199x Porsche 964, and if so, how does the modified drivetrain pass smog inspection?

Update: I have been silently lurking and trying to be patient looking at colors and waiting till closer to build time. I am going to visit the shop this weekend, which is very exciting. Never seen one of the cars in person.

As an apropos appetizer I came across this top gear article which went online recently. Article is from a year ago and is quite tasty. Unfortunately no way to see as one page, have to click through pictures to get full text.

Amazing sound and love the car.

Be nice if he kept it in his own lane on the street! That's my rule of street driving anyway.

Saw Rob. He is the man. I am in sync with his values. The whole operation exudes passion and brilliance.

Here are some pictures including a few color combos as initial brainstorm.

Choosing a color would be brutal. They all look great.

I don't care for the purple centered wheels, but I (strangely) really like the purple interior. I'm certain whatever you choose will be awesome.

Center pic at the top would be my choice. Classic blue and tan. But whatever you pick, the car is going to be incredible. Enjoy!

When I was there on Monday, he was madly running around sorting blue paint samples. Not sure if those were for you.

Those purple seats caught my eye as soon as I walked in the door. Custom moulds, custom brackets. Nothing off-the-shelf when better and bespoke will do.

Superb craftsmanship that is worth the price of a house or condo, depending on where you live.

The car has a roll bar in the rear seat area and rear seat belts. Is it dangerous to have rear seat passengers sitting next to the metal roll bar? I love the idea of a street/track car, and have thought about a similar roll bar for my car, but don't know how safe it will be with that kind of roll bar in the back.

Thoughts?

Technically I'm sure it's dangerous.
But strapping some kids seats in I think would be safe.

I wonder if they could do a Ruf style roll cage as well?

Must work harder...
