It's coming together but now the fine details are critical.
This is not to say that the exquisite internal machining work done was not critical.
The all new re-geared tranny is here from Guard and the new M&M headers / exhaust arrives Monday as will the Ohlin 4 way coilovers.
Then we will test, test and test.

Some more goodies arrived at Champion over the past couple of days. First we've got my custom made FVD headers and 90mm exhaust system. Can't wait to hear this baby roar!! We're getting really close now....
They also received my custom gear set from Matt at Guard Transmission who was extremely helpful in providing some valuable guidance based on his unmatched experience in building Porsche race transmissions. The new gear set features lightened and hardened gears as well as an 60/40 LSD (sorry, typo at first). See the graph below for the new gearing setup.

Here's something to add to your build sheet. : )

On a more serious note, I'd suggest a halo seat. I presume the build includes brakes and a serious cage.
I'm interested in details on the 4.2 ... did you also consider the Manthey 4.3 or others?

This car has now crossed the line of never parting with it.
At my age it will get willed over to my boys.
Champion Motorsport (Louis Milone) and I have thought through for months and months this entire project before taking the first step.
Just about all components of the RS are being addressed.
The newly arrived exhaust is from M&M (I know poo poo'ed by most). Will test/compare with current M&M exhaust. This new catless system was their design for GT3/RS making 500 hp and greater.
Header tubing of 55 mm / collector of 90 mm and exhaust tubing of 90 mm to center resonator. Tips are 90 mm.
Had requested the 90 mm straight pipe center section but Tilo Koch (M&M) recommended against it if street use and lower speeds were intended. This is a track exclusive flat-out 8000+ rpm topend design plus the noise level rather unforgiving for the street. Hell this new system should make some db's
Still waiting on the Ohlins

Recaro Profi seats for now. A halo seat is a pain in the street.
Brakes will remain the PCCB (I know blasphomy) with the compatible Endless pads. Never had issues with PCCB. Will run the snot out of them then go to steel when needed. Rear half cage for now, also I know would be critizied.
Manthey, great outfit, but we got some good secrets too They are good but aren't they only ones that know the engine.
Regarding others, just PM me and I can tell you some things.
Personally it couldn't feel better than to deal with individuals locally that I know personally and are friends and btw, they know their $h!t
All the best,

Can't wait to see some videos of this beast running circles around DE cup.
Wonder who is going to break first and start the MOD WAR! (In DE cup)
Nope! Porsche Carpet is molded to the car's contours. You may be able to press it down in areas, but there won't be any visual cues. Best cheater mod ever! I bought an extra one and shaved it, took mine out.
DE cup listening?
Wow, dude, that's a lot more than I thought these cars were making. I only have 77 more whp than you guys.
But ~ 250 more wheel torque.

only one observation, you are going to have so much more tq so it probably won't matter in the slightest, but what was the reason for your choice of 2nd gear, your choice seems very slightly too tall as for the typical slow 2nd gear corner (45mph corner) you will be slightly too lower in the power band - this is really a ridiculous statement to be making given what you are doing - but other than that, this car is total perfection - but if you would, what was Matt's logic for going with this 2nd gear choice
congrats

Ranger, the part I like the most is the Scuderia stripes. Gavin has them, and they made his car fast. Your car has them, and it is becoming a monster.
Fortunately, slow DE Cup cars are not wearing Scuderia stripes.
