I recall savy saying he had one set and like them, but I might be mistaken about which 911 or Boxster. Last season they were zero quantity available, so I don't imagine too many US drivers got to wear out a set.

I've not had much luck with Mr P all round -- it all comes down to the technology required to make the tire and then the strange reluctance to build the tire as a grooved (DOT) slick rather than the fancy-shmancy tread patterns.

I guess some marketing genius thinks a clever pattern appeals to naive street drivers who look at a tire advertisement in a glossy magazine and say "wow, that must stick like glue, look at that tread pattern!"

Unless they released more sizing recently the widest R1 you can get is 285 which won't work for the GT3 guys

Hey NJ-GT, back up a min..Looked around and Toyo is not making those 335's...only 18" RA1 in production is 275.

Went through multiple sets on two cars. They are sticky. I just had a set of Trofeos mounted up to my set of matte black Rays G12's for the 4.0.

If you want streetable (arrive/drive) 19"s with faster lap times than MPSC/SS/Corsa System, they are your only choice. On a 2:00 track they are within 1-2 secs of R6.

Hot pressures over 30 psi on track will kill them in short order. If you are the type to be too lazy to adjust pressures during the trackday, you are better off with something else. Cared for, expect 4 good track days before they are worn out.

Guy at performance@bigo.com will hook you up (west coast).

Savy, 4 track days that's it...? Is it possible to get 6 knowing that the last 2 will be a little bit slower times?

If you are talking 18s, I ran R1s at 335 or 345 rears last year, and I'm sure they're still around.

That's not a lot of days. What's the reason behind so few offerings in 19"?

Yep, my C14's are peened. They still offer it, you just have to ask.

CWW is semi local to me. I need to call today and see if I can run them by for a while you wait shot peening.

The hoosier spinning is driving me nuts. I had to have my tires balanced twice at daytona the vibration was so bad.

Highly dependent on driving style of course. It's possible I suppose? If you drive with a lot of slip angle they are soft (grippy) and will scrub off in short order. Also concrete vs asphalt will make a difference.

Your mileage may vary...literally. Give them a try and let us know how they did for you?

The reason I considered the bead seat knurling to be such an great feature. Funny thing, no one seemed to care until this thread?

Well guys, just finished a 2 day event with Chin at Sebring, and wouldn't you know it my R6's corded...... Really upsetting, some people have said that they get 50 HC's out of these things?!? I think it is a con, I only got 41 out of mine, and they started getting slippery the last 2 sessions in particular.....

You were supposed to get 16 HC, and nothing else more. 41 HC out of R6? congratulations, you're my new tire care hero.

Paul don't pay attention to these guys they don't realize wear bars are for suckers. A good inch of cord is the real tire wear indicator

But I bet the last 10 sessions you have used these a lot more then the first 10...Good luck with your next set ;-)
