You still have the 7GT2? I thought you got a Scuderia.

Will talk to my vendor again regarding spring rate setup and then decide but your probably right with the softer of the two setups, after that will get the cup car fenders with extensions to clear any rubbing issues i may be facing with the 18' wheels. Planning to run 10x18 fr and 12x18 rr, probably 275/335 i guess still not decided.

i'm thinking of the idea of a cup car engine carrier and transmission mounts to make shifting more direct and less play but is it worth $2200 ? thats the question.

I will update this thread with any progress. thanks.

avoid the cup transmission mounts on a street car. I made that mistake one time with my 996 GT3, the grinding sound inside the car was so loud that I could barely hear my engine, very similar to the sound you hear from 996/997 cup videos, sold them within a months for pennies.

The engine mounts, go for them, I had the ones made my Wevo.

Thanks Rad, I will pass on the mounts and carrier. I already have Rennline solid engine mounts but i thought maybe with the carrier and trans mount it will be much more solid and give great feedback.

I appreciate all the help you provided me with this build and answering questions from me and other forum members here, cheers.

Although I wished you got a GT2/GT2RS as there isn't many of us that track them and only a handful have exploited them on the track to appreciate them. But congratulations on your new car which is also phenomenal and I hope you do get FVD 4.0 kit at Orbit, can't wait to see your build finished

could you do me a favour and see if you can see the part numbers on your front and rear tender springs from the Ohlins - i've asked nick when he has a chance to look also, but next time you can, i would really appreciate the part numbers so i can track down the rates they are using

Also, how does the car feel at mosport with this spring rate setup (685/1295)?
- corner 2, 3, 5b, 8, 10
- and where do you have your sways

- does the car feel like it wants slight more front spring under braking to match the rear or is the balance good?

many thanks

paul

Suspension should leave Germany in the next two days I went with 800fr and 110rr springs. I'll take pictures of the suspension fitted on the car and also provide road and track feedback soon.

Now its time for me to change my exhaust i had many in mind, but i got down to two. I would love to write what they are but I dont want to make any issues with vendors, I will base my decision on which size piping should I go as they're both different:

Option1: 90mm piping all around stainless steal
or
Option2: 70mm piping all around titanium

The stock piping is 55mm and the question is it the bigger piping the better for turbocharged cars ? Regardless of whichever exhaust they will both will be run catless.

Update: Ohlins was held back a bit but got shipped today will arrive probably next week. Regarding exhaust i went with GMG gt2rs catless exhaust with 3.5in piping and also fvd headers which will ship next week due to time built for the exhaust.

Now to install the suspension do I need to change both front and rear top mounts ? or should i run the stock oem top ?

Thanks
