have an RSS x-pipe on my 2010 GT3. awesome sound. so many guys ask about the sound when I am at the track. gf says she can tell where on the track I am just by the sound, so diff from all the other cars.

I like that this exhaust does not require bolting tips on it.

GMG, unfinished, gets nice patina color to it after a while. Sound is intoxicating with flaps open all the time. Fit and finish beyond my expectations.

I felt like I needed to keep the function of the sport button, so I just ordered the SW bypass for my new (to me) .1 GT3 RS. I made my purchase decision based on the glowing reviews and outstanding reputation that the guys at SW have.

And probably won't pass sound check at Laguna Seca, but who cares about 'em old farts?

Per Clarke above, I have the RSS X pipe if a 997 GT3 owner wishes to purchase a unit -

Default Bypass + tips

Last weekend I finally installed the Centre bypass + the Sharkwerks 88mm ceramic tips on my car.

The sound is just incredible!!

These are my impressions:

- It howls around 3/4000rpm
- Above 4000rpm the car screams like a Ferrari, almost the same high pitch.
- Unplugged the sound is ok for cruising but if you are going for a "normal" drive after 1 hour the howl around 3/4000 rpm is getting annoying
- On the track unplugged is the way to go.

How do the RSS pipes compare? I like the fact that they're the only bypass units of the three that are made completely in-house at RSS (i.e. not farmed out).

THe RSS are exquisetly made - I have one myself and I also sell them. They are just incedible.

The RSS pipe is actually farmed out.
