Just to add some fuel to it what do you like better about the Club course?
Some of it is Personal I guess, I grew up watching everything I could at Mid Ohio before the Pro configuration was even created, so the purist in me says that's the configuration to run.

In a Time Trail / DE standpoint it's one additional technical section that seems very straight forward, but in reality it really separates those who know the track and know their cars from the rest.

What's the time differential between the two?

I've only run the Club Course so I can't speak to anything besides that..

~3 seconds is a pretty good rule of thumb.

Very true, especially in racing, but in DE world when you drive slow momentum cars like my E46 M3, the chicane is where I can make up alot of time, allowing me to gap or hassle faster cars....sideways up the hill towards the keyhole of course

Soon you'll discover the thrill of keeping your foot in it for the entry into the bus stop in the RS!

I enjoy the bus stop! And agree with ^, the entry can be taken fast and yet many don't seem to know it.

For me it's the continuous flow and the challenge of balancing the car with the brake which makes it a great track. There's only one hard brake zone (on the club course) and yet, IMO, it's one of the most challenging and satisfying courses I've run for using the brakes....or should I say for not OVER using the brakes.

I'm driving the truck and posting anyways

Randy is right the canadians are right......eh

Just left the track. Still hung over, but even higher on aderiline.

Many many thanks to Paul, Francois and teh other folks we met.

There is no way I could have posted a 1:33.9 without Francois taking me out for a session first thing. He is a seriously good driver and super smooth. I am a horrible passenger and the track scared the living **** out of me.

Also many thanks to Paul for stopping by to explain the track to us. The track was initially intimidating, but fairly easy to learn. It takes a lot of bravery and delicate car control. I think I could have done a better lap time if I would have had more than 5 clean laps thanks to three super slow cars I lapped every other lap.

There were a few other GT3RS and a GTR that were equally fast and I chased them around the track for a session as well, tons of fun.

Jodi actually called and actually showed up, being that our memories were a bit foggy we were a bt worried. She turned out to be as cool as we remembered at the bar last night.......just like Paul, Francois and other guys she signed my car as well.

Randy talked her into going for a ride with him. She was very impressed came out of the car shaky, but like a good canadian girl stayed and had a beer with us while we changed our corded tires

All in all another fantastic day for Randy and me on Manication

On our way to Mid Ohio, whatever course we get to drive, we will figure out. At least we wont be hungover since we will not be in the hotel until midnight....and need to be at teh track bright and early.

FLATOUT videos to follow

Heh. Jenk just told me about this thread.

I'm with Seth on preferring the pro course, for the same reasons.

i like that you had customs sign the car to distract them from what happens when you push those 2 buttons at the same time and that secret compartment opens up

im already casing havoc at mid ohio and i dont even know where pit out is. got a guy complaining i took his spot in front of his garage. oh well, im in the hotel. have to take care of him, i mean it in the morning

Last session of the day.....went out behind FFAUST and gave him a friendly push

Lap 5, turn 8......I puckered......probably need to get LSD and / or learn to brake in a straight line

FFAUST has the ultimate cheater car.....I wont give away his secrets, but when he brings this car to PBOC Winterfest Sebring there will be a further investigation
