I'm not, even at a lower price than $185K. I'd rather save $60K plus and get a lightly used/nearly new 3.8RS. If I were planning to spend at least $185K, I'd then spend a little more and get a Scuderia.

US pricing came in right where I expected, although looks like we will have to add PCCB (the car in the video has steel brakes). I will buy one. Many cars represent better price/performance values--but I love the basic spec on the car--4.0 and 500hp along with the suspension mods and other touches do it for me. Time to pay the Porsche premium again I guess.

I will be... In my sleep tonight that is

On a serious note though, if I could afford it, if I could drive well and assuming it comes with the carbon fibre goodies as standard, I would...

I'll pick up a lightly used one when the next latest and greatest comes out.

meh. I like the looks of the 3.8 RS more, the rear carbon wing and greyblack / red on the 3.8 looked awesome. Its always nice to have more power but the weight didn't come down nearly enough to warrant the extra 50k base price. This one is strictly for the die hards.

The smart money gets into the second hand car after the fuss dies down (since they're all going to be almost identical.) But life's too short to wait.

Of course, the bloody US spec is only 22lbs lighter (Euro spec car is 175Kg's lighter, if I understood Preuninger's description.) And the US doesn't, as usual, get the cage or fire bottle. Not good enough.

And no comment from Preuninger on the steel rotors ... : )

If I can get one, I'm dumb enough to pay for it.

Really smart money never buy cars period. But glad to see I am not the only dumb one out there. Best if we don't compare it to the 3.8 or used cars--let's compare it to Ferraris and we can feel better.

"Smart" is a funny word -- never really means smart per se. Sometimes means pain as in "oh, that smarts" or "doesn't do the main thing it's meant to do" as in "smart phone" ... rarely intended to mean shrewd or intelligent anymore ... : )

Definitely not for me. I am not capable to drive my .2RS at anything close to 10/10. Giving me more hp will just make me crash earlier...

$185K is about $35K of stealing.

Seriously though. Send your current car for a 3.9L upgrade for $20-$30k (esp those with the 3.6L), and you are at OVER 500 bhp.
