dont know yet if its worth the price upgrade but im still getting use to my RS i just got 2months ago.
i honestly feel this 4.0 is for the garage queens and will be worth quite a bit years from now. if i had it i would track the hell out of it and not think twice. then mine may be a little harder to sell with 20k miles and 15k of that on the track vs the car with 2500miles on it

I am a fan of the motor and the canards
all the ricer crap is not for me
white, black wheels, black interior - thank you
if I could I would in a heartbeat and I would enjoy thrashing it
I could not bubble wrap it... even if I tried

I don't get it.
People complaining about the price being in the $185k range, when some people here paid that or more for used GT3 RS back in 2007 and 2008 that were not that much better (if any) than the 997.1 GT3.
Some people that paid way over $200k for the 997 GT2 back in 2008 which is an inferior car and a pig compared to the 997 GT3 RS 4.0.
We cannot compare used (depreciated price) to new price. Most GT3 RS 3.8 were in the $140k range, and I think the $185k price is a great price, not a bargain, but not overpriced either like the 997 GT2 RS.
50Hp more, less weight, more mechanical grip, more aero, great graphics, and a plaque that indicates this is really a limited edition, lovely! and instant classic.
Mooty, I will buy it from you.

I think the 4.0 RS is a fantastic car mechanically, but for me to spend that kind of money, it would have to have more of a visual statement as well. Graphics aside, it is basically identical to the 3.8 on the outside. Once you get into options, you are at Scuderia prices. I think the Scuderia will be worth more in the long run and with the carbon fiber doors, bodywork, glass engine cover and sound, I find it would be a better driving experience.

Look- the car will sell out as soon as allocations are distributed and like the GT2RS, the pre-owned market will be thin if any for years to follow. Those seeking a used one on the cheap are most likely destined for disappointment.
600 of these would be an instant sellout in China alone. Think about it. If the US only gets, say, 200, build slots will instantly command a $20-40k buyers premium.
I'll take mine in black at MSRP, and say thank you for the opportunity to experience the sweetest fruit fresh from the passion tree.
