Arcan jack too wide to fit?
Arcan XL 3.5 ton Low Profile floor jack, the one sold at Costco. For the price seemed like a good deal. This jack gets good reviews on many car forums, whereas similarly priced HF and Craftsman get pretty miserable reviews. The thing is a beast and weighs a ton so will be a good stay-at-home jack.
I also have an Arcan XL 3.5 ton jack from Costco. I like it because it's very smooth when lowing the car. I'm considering getting a set of these jack stands but am not sure if the lifting arm of my Arcan can fit into the front opening of the Jackpoint stand. The lifting arm of my Arcan measures 5.75-6 inches wide, 6" if I include the protruding pin on both sides of the arm. It exceeds the 5.5" width specified on Jackpoint's website. How did your Arcan jack fit into the front opening of the jack stands? Any problems? I don't have a low clearance issue as mine is a full size sedan with plenty of ground clearance. Hope you read this and help me out. Thanks.

The lifting arm on mine is same as yours, just shy of 6 inches. I used this jack and jackpoint stands for two years, at home and track, lots of wheel changes...no problem ever

That's a great news for me. I do have 2 other older jacks but the Arcan is my favorite. Thanks for the quick response.

So here's a question. If a company licensed the patents for Jackpoint Jackstands and could sell a similarly functioning product manufactured off shore under a different name for between $100 - $200 per pair, would anybody still buy the original US made Jackpoint jack stands at the current price? Just to be clear we are NOT planning to take Jackpoint Jackstands production offshore. This would be a licensed product sold by a large importer through retail channels. This is NOT something that has happened. I'm just curious about whether folks would pay more for the US made product (because it costs more to make) or prefer the less expensive import. Many of our customers like the fact that Jackpoints are US made, but our number one criticism is the price. Unfortunately - the current price is tied to domestic costs which aren't going down.
