'10 RS Track Report
Just look at my new avatar (Thanks to PogueMoHone for taking that pic).
OK. That is all. Thank you.
Haha... It is a freakin' beast! Brakes to stop a train, awesome broad powerband. Good torque down low. Revs and revs and revs. Crazy!
Tires are wearing very evenly and very neutral handling at stock settings. I found the handling to be wholly confidence inspiring and not even close to a scary moment. The grip is tremendous.
It is a very quiet exhaust I think, but it does sound good.
On my trip back from the track to Reno, 3.5 hours drive, I WILL be wearing ear plugs however. The cabin noise is very high. Suspension is supple and does not beat you up on the road.
The car has been flawless so far and no oil used.
Heel and toe is NOT a problem. Just needed to get the car under track conditons. No need for pedal extension.
A gentleman with a White/Red '10 RS is here too and is a very fast driver, owns/ed multiple Porsche GT cars and thinks the car (his RS, on the track here) is awesome.
You guys who use these cars as they are meant to be are in for a real treat. What an amazing track machine.

Oh- to get here yesterday I drove through sleet, freezing rain and snow at 28-32 degree temps across the mountains. Kept my attention high, but surprisingly, no sliding about. You should have seen the coating of road grime and salt on my car!

Uploaded wrong one...slow connection here at hotel to load correct one. Reload this page in your browser and you should now have the correct video.
Thanks for the kind comments! I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity in life to have these experiences. So I enjoy sharing with the other forum readers.
I would mention as well the friendliness and professionalism of the Golden Gate PCA that is hosting this three-day event. Very fine folks and my coach today was fantastic (Thanks again Fred!). All volunteers and my hat is off to them for their effort.
