Default WTB 2007/08 RS

As of today it is official -- my 996 GT3 is sold.
Buyer paid in full and transprort is coming next week

I am now looking for a 997.1 RS

PCCBs a must
Prefer a white example but will consider others

Clearly I have checked all the normal places -- autotrader, cars.com, porscheusa.com preowned, switchcars.com etc...

If you know of something that is off the radar please PM me or post up here... I am a cash buyer at realistic pricing.

It does not have to be a cream puff either... I plan on "putting the spurs to her" anyway... I would buy a cream puff if struck me the right way but I am not afraid of cars that have been tracked or have mileage etc...

I am in Seattle -- the closer the better as well but will travel for the right one etc.

TIA

There was a very good example at Manhattan Motor cars several weeks ago. Not sure if they still have it. Very nicely optioned, PCCBs, 08 with around 800 miles. Use to belong to a very reputable car collector on the forum, he bought the car new and took great care of it.

good luck and enjoy!

I know it sounds lame... but I have scoured the current market and the non pccb cars just are not moving and priced well and all i can chalk it up to is that buyers want pccbs...

look at the white one at switch cars -- lowest or one of the lowest priced cars on the market... dead in the water at $105K... why... I have no idea...it is a nice car... the PCCB rotors are missing... maybe that is the reason...

may make no sense to anyone else... but I want what I want...

and yes... I am a certified track *****

check this thread... $95K with PCCBs and less than 10K miles

These cars are moving but not at 130... the same cars listed at 130 are sitting and sitting... could be time of year, could be economy... I have time.

I have always liked PCCB but I do not track the car much.

PJ,

If the PCCB price gap exceeds $5k, you're over paying for the PCCB car.

If I were to buy a RS right now, I would not pay more than $90k for a 10k miles no-pccb car, or more than $99k for a pccb low miles car. That's my market. Anything higher than this, and I would be looking at used 2010 GT3 or RS.

agreed rad

keeping my eyes peeled for the sub 100 pccb <10k car

sellers i have spoken with have very high opinions of their cars... no one is paying 125-130+ for these and it will get worse for them when the new rs hits

I have been telling people this is a 100K and less car.. just cannot get a seller to agree with me.

I love the white one at boardwalk in Plano...

The white car at switchcars already has the PCCB calipers, thus it can always be switched back to carbon rotors. You can have the best of both worlds with that car. It currently has the iron rotors for exactly what you plan on doing with the car and if you ever sell it the next owner has the same option!
I would take this car in a heart beat if i didnt already have my RS.

I have been watching it since it sold at RUF.

(I got the E88's off this car from the original owner )

I would be more interested if the ceramics were included in the sale

it is on my radar...

is it strange that the car has been for sale for so long at one of the lowest advertised prices? why no action?

yes... all the mods are going with the car to a buyer that likes them and was willing to pay a fair price for them.

the only things from the old car that I am keeping to possible re sell or reconfigure are the BBS E88 and the Jongbloeds...
