$2,895.00
Based on looking at the pictures on his website, those kits appear to have the heavier 11lb 964RS flywheel (used in the 7.1RS) and not the 4.0RS/Cup flywheel. The 4.0RS one is about $300 more expensive. The pressure plate used in his kit is the 487 instead of the OEM 4.0 pressure plate. The 487 uses much heavier straps which give it substantially more clamping force at the expense of a heavier pedal. The 487 is appropriate for a turbocharged application due to its greater force which will hold up to 700 ft.lb torque. I've used the 487 on my 800whp track car with the 4.0RS/Cup flywheel and the Cup sintered disc. It's an excellent flywheel but there is no need to use the 487 in a GT3 with its 300 ft.lbs of torque. The only thing you gain is a substantially heavier clutch pedal. The OEM 4.0RS plate is about $500 more expensive than the 487 one.
With all the "kits" available on line, make sure they tell you the exact part numbers of each part so you know what you are truly getting. Trust, but verify....

997.116.027.91 Pressure plate
964.102.239.81 LWFW
928.102.151.01 FW bolts (9x)
931.102.111.02 Pilot bearing
997.116.013.92 Clutch disc
944.116.080.01 Release bearing
The release bearing is optional but a good idea to go new on this.
You guys are making this too difficult. Took me 10 minutes to come up with this. Google is your friend. Total for everything is $2587. If someone is converting from a DMWF then you'd also need the ring gear and the guide tube which will add $234. Again, for a DMFW to a true 4.0RS clutch, you're into it for $2821 plus shipping. Porsche has really gone up in price on the OEM 4.0 pressure plate. They were $500 cheaper 6 months ago. Even so, it's still a far cry from $4K that many are claiming....

If you have a 7.1RS with a LWFW clutch you need the following 4.0 parts:

928.102.151.01 FW bolts (9x)

My car has 15k miles, so clutch is fine, but I am soon to be in there, and addicted to unnecessary mods. So . . .

I’ve been chasing down opinions on this for a couple weeks, as I’ll have the opportunity next month when I drop the trans for R+P regear. What I gather is that the 4.0 LWFW for our cars will make it even more responsive and faster revving, and some prefer the feel of the 4.0 clutch as well. I’m not hearing anyone tout this as a revelatory improvement, but rather incremental on an RS car with a LWFW to begin with. Several I’ve chatted with who have 7.1 and .2 RS and non experience say not worth it UNLESS you’re already in there, or in need of a new clutch anyway. A little less expensive on our cars, and no need to upgrade pulley either.

Depends on where (local v shipping and labor) and whether you also change 6th, but I have a quote for around $6k for install into box and part itself without 6th. I will save some on labor because I am friends with my mechanic and will do removal and install into car with him.

Great thread thanks to all that have contributed especially @powderhound for a few PM's on the topic. I am on the fence about doing the 3.89 R&P, Guards diff, LWFW, +/- 6th gear for my "canyons" only .7 GT3. I'm not sold on the 6th gear as I am rarely on the interstate in this car. Does anyone have opinions as to ANY downsides on this? I'd guess NVH is the only, aside from the money that would eventually be spent on something else less enjoyable.

Chatter from the FW is your only added NVH. I love it, but not everyone does. The LSD is a night and day improvement, as is the flywheel, and the re-gearing by all accounts is also huge (but I've yet to actually drive a 7GT re-geared).

My .2 GT3 was 90% track and 10% street but that is changing but then I did R&P, LWFW with 4.0 clutch, and Porsche Motorsport LSD (Guard was out of stock), I passed on the 6th gear replacement. It was only going to reduce a couple of hundred RPM (can’t recall the exact figure) and I have driven 4+ hours with reduce gear ratio 6th gear and I though it was entirely acceptable, but then I am sure it is subjective. The car is so much more enjoyable on the street with reduced ratio.

I mean, if you're in there anyway why not go all the way? 4.0 drivetrain sounds epic to me. I love my 4.0 setup (although w standard gearing and R/P), I haven't had anything else. Clutch is easy to engage, sport purpose and all, and the bag of nails is sublime. I'd also do the 6th gear. At the end of the day, if you ever decide to sell it, and let's be honest, we all will eventually, it'll be an easier sell as the story will be a pure 4.0 setup, which is a great story to tell and sell.
