Not sure what the story is but most likely it was pulled for who knows what reason.

I wonder if owners have first pic to purchase cars back after totally them… I always wondered if I should track day insure my car for the “full value” if they let me keep the car after they total it and I can take all the after market bits off.

My experience is yes, owner has first dibs. In the event of a total loss, the insurance company will give you a lesser payout (value minus buyback amount) if owner decides to keep the car. I just went through this with my Boxster. Track insurance may be different but i doubt it.

I ended up buying "Round 2". I spoke with the original owner that put the first 75k miles on it. It was driven, but never tracked. Fully serviced at Porsche. I would love to know who owned it for the last 5k miles and the flood. 2nd owner would have all of the maintenance records and some other items. If anyone knows who it was, please send me a PM. I will start working on the car this weekend. I plan to start a thread for the rebuild, but I doubt it will be as good as Drola's. Probably would be pretty redundant. Most of the issues from Drola's GT3RS will be present in this 2010 GT3.

Oh this is great!

I am curious why they totaled it for that? Did water get inside the car?

If that is considered a flood/total loss, he got a hell of a deal on " that " flood GT3.
