My winning bid was $111k plus they nailed me with $7700 buyer fee plus some other BS fees so the wire I sent to them was just under $119k. This is pretty much public information so I didn't see the need to put it out there. Let's not forget the $1700 for shipping plus the major PITA to get the car picked up and dealing with the people at the Long Island branch which was a nightmare. It took 3 attempts before I was finally able to get the car on its way to me. A couple of people have asked and without hesitation I gave them the number.
This was a big gamble for me. I assure you that number put a substantial dent in my bank account. But I figured that my worst case scenario was sell it and break even, best case was having a car I could definitely sell for more than I paid OR I would have my dream car for much less than I'd ever be able to buy it for out in the open market.
It was a risk, I took it and in the end I'm happy with my decision.
And being happy is what life is all about.....
I'm just happy to watch your incredibly entertaining videos.

I love watching these videos. I’m local to him. Maybe I will be able to see it in person.

This is interesting. I found a 6speedonline thread about my car. It was being listed for sale by its original owner for MSRP +30K making it $175k. And that’s exactly what he got. And this was back in 2007 with only 1400 miles on the odometer. Even back then this was a special car. Apparently one of four in the US white/black/black/black. From research it seems only 40 total in white. Pretty cool

Those header flange bolts are always rusty. Doubt it had anything to do with the flood. Any car driven in the wet, or just sitting in colder climates where condensation forms on metal parts, will show surface rust on those bolts.

Wondering if you're concerned about mold growing long term if moisture got into the carpets. Water can sit for long periods under the carpet foam. Are you planning to pull the interior?

Actually I hadn't thought of that. It's pretty dry and when I had the seat out I didn't see anything that would give cause for concern. But not a bad idea. Maybe one day soon I'll pull up the carpet just to check on it and give it a good shampoo. Thanks for the suggestion

I would also use some damprid bags inside the car.
