Turned the 30000 miles today
Next Tuesday will see the six year anniversary of my owning my GT3. In that time I have put just over 25000 miles on it. Very sporadic though as I store the car for months on end when I travel. I'll save you all the in-depth month by month analysis of the miles according to my spreadsheet.
Spent the first half of the year in Australia road tripping a 2004 Golf R32 up the east coast. Will go back later this year or early next year to finish the trip. I returned to Florida early this month. The 993 isn't ready and I wasn't sure if I really wanted to hang around in Florida or not. In the end I jumped in the GT3 and headed north. Hanging in Charlotte for a few days and turned up the 30000 miles today as I headed out to the Petty Museum. Hoping to head west from here and see a bit of Tennessee again. Enjoyed it in the 993 a couple of years ago. Might even sneak a Tail Of The Dragon run in and should be better than the 993 with original 100k plus mileage suspension. Not sure where else I will visit. 2018 is turning out to be an almost permanent road trip.
Think it still looks good for a high mileage car... Photos were taken in Lexington NC.

Do your self a favor - hit the Blueridge and get your GT3 over to the Dragon and the roads in Western NC, North Georgia/ TN. There is no better place to enjoy a GT3! Its as if a Porsche engineer was hired to make the roads in that part of the country. You just can't believe they are public roads - makes me laugh every time I drive up there. I promise, worth the time!

Congrats! I just hit 30K as well. I've been to the ToD twice and the Dragon itself wasn't my favorite road. But the Cherohala Skyway is nearby and that road in a GT3 is an absolutely amazing experience!

My '08 cobalt GT3 has 60K - I wish they were all mine but still, love it every time I jump in!

Was being a bit sarcastic with the high mileage comment. Had to check the spreadsheet and the car stored for 19 of the 72 months ownership by me. Don't think I will make the 50-60k in the next couple years so well behind some of you.
Back in 2016 I poked around Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina and found some good roads. Will have to check which ones. It was a lot of fun and probably some of them mentioned above. Part of the reason I have come back with the GT3. I was lucky with Tail Of The Dragon and had a dream run with only a couple of slower cars and they moved over within a few turns. Doubt I will get it as good again.
