U win. "High mile" GT cars are becoming the unicorn and low-mile garage queens the norm. I get more excited about seeing a car with xxx,xxx than I do xxx miles. I want to meet that guy that puts 50kmi on a cgt. That is bad ***. A car with xxx miles has no stories and no interest imo.

68K miles, and about 15 HPDE days + numerous AX days. PCCBs replaced at 60K miles - pads had +60% thickness left, rotors with only 25% wear, Clutch was done - now with RS4.0 and LWFW. Went to Guards rear diff after 3 track days.
Only malfunction so far was the waterline at 25-30K miles in 2012.. Get them pinned fellas.

Was reminded of this thread as I turned up the 36000 miles yesterday. By coincidence I am in the same area and have spent time exploring around South Carolina and plan to do a similar route to the one back in 2018 to get back to Florida at some point. I put the car into storage shortly after the last trip back in August 2018. I came back out late November 2020 and I was faced with the same problem. Didn't really want to hang around Florida and international travel not easy at the moment. As usual the answer is road trip. The car might spend more time in storage than out, however, I try to make good use of the seat time when I get the chance.
Here's a few from the trip so far.
I post these and others on my car focused Instagram account at Detour Right, if anyone cares to follow along.

Hey James, We have Twinsies!! ... Love to hear of your trip stories & see the pics. TY
Also,... are you sure that your car is Cobalt Blue? ... Was it a special order of that color as a .2? .... Looks a LOT like my Aqua Blue.
1 more thing: Can you confirm that you took this pic ^^^ from a long distance back (with a good DSLR lens)?? ... I ask because I love how it makes the wing look more narrow compared to the mirror width. I think that optic can only be achieved when you are a solid distance back behind the car.

Thanks!
Exactly. Last year was supposed to be a trip across Canada and with being stuck in Australia and Canada borders closed it's still something to look forward to at some point. Plan is for the 993 rather than the GT3 though.
I'd be tempted to swap for the mint green above though. That is very nice.
Nice!
Yes definitely cobalt. It was a special order by the original owner and I have a letter from PCNA confirming it's the only MY10 GT3 in cobalt blue. As you're most likely aware, they stopped the cobalt blue as a PTS after the 997.1 model. The colour can look so different in photos depending on the light. I use a Canon 6D and usually a 24-105 lens. Recently watched a video about car photography and have started using the 105 end more, which is what was used for this one. Previously I was lazy and would use the wider angle rather than walk back...
