For you "high mileage" guys, anything major as far as maintenance goes when you get into the 40k+ mile range?

Not quite the 40k+ however, other than regular maintenance the only issue I've had was the PCM unit reverting back to the mother tongue of German. Was replaced under warranty.

Ask and you shall receive... (not the Parkway though)

It happened! A man of his word.

Yeah, the gas and tire bills starts to add up, but that's the cost of business. I have twice that mileage and the car 30 years old so I', sure big brother GT3 can handle some driving. How else are you going to meet other RLers? It wouldn't look good if you showed up in your Lexus and told us you have a GT3 in your garage at home....

See you again James on Saturday for a longer loop.

When I looked at my photos I was surprised at the size difference. The ones above show the same and even the last one makes my car look much larger and not just because it's in the foreground.

Walked around today and car hasn't left hotel garage. Will be ready for Saturday.

Hips play a large role in the actual difference, or even perception of size difference. My widebody 964 Turbo looks very much the same size as my NB 997.2 GT3 (from most all angles),... not to mention that the tire patch locations are also very much exactly the same (within an inch). And I have measured every angle of both my cars for the purposes of loading in my trailer, as well as lifting them both on my 2-post lift in my garage.

Makes sense. The rear has such difference angles that it's probably deceiving unless you get the measuring tape out, as you did.

Another great drive with James this weekend. After cars & coffee, we headed out for a drive on my "Northern Loop". Rain started as we began the loop, but that's usually a good thing as it keeping most people inside and we mostly had the roads to ourselves Hats off to our tires, as they did an amazing job of sheading water and keeping us (mostly) in contact with the road. We only stopped for mural shots and finished the drive as responsible by washing all the gunk off at a car wash. Almost like nothing happened. Safe travels as you head to your next destination, and look forward to your next visit.

Sorry for the picture overload, it's not often you get two Cobalt cars together, so we were total geeks. James has a much better camera, so these will have to do for now.

Might have a better camera, however, a much slower editor...

Because I had to navigate myself after a couple of drives following a 964 I only managed to get lost 3 times. Even resorted to looking at road signs. If only the US didn't have multiple numbers for the same road.

Plus you can drive on the same stretch of road and it’s name can change multiple times. Crazy

I keep coming back to this thread,... & agree with Mooty that it is more fun than the "value" discussion that seems to invade the FS thread every day.
.... although I DO also agree with Saru385's comment from back in 2018 (in response to Mooty) - "why not all 3!!" hahaha

anyway,... you guys are an inspiration to me,... and hoping 2021 can be filled with lots of driving adventures for all of us. I'm no where near 30k miles-or-above like many of you,... but I am nearing the point where I have DOUBLED what mine had when I bought it. So I'm striving to achieve!!

stay on the gas boiz & goilz

Love all the pics, especially the ones with the car dirty, being used.

You want dirty? I have no idea what all this is and looked like hair or fur. I didn't run over anything. Had to slow down for a few deer today on the roads north west of Roanoke.

Plus a couple from the the last few days. In case you can't read the sign, it's at the northern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday. I'm having a ball and pity the title is out of date now. I thought on numerous occasions today about enjoying the driving rather than they pontificating over the values. Then my thoughts were drowned out by the loose stuff on the road rattling around in the wheel wells...

Absolutely love Cobalt. Had the opportunity to buy a 997.1 GT3 in this color and passed. Having a Cobalt blue 964 would be a dream come true. Stunning cars.
