Carfax is Clean. Crazy at the price difference between base and S manuals. These may be the deals for long term value retention. I really don't think there is much difference at all between S and non-S for normal driving on public roads. Most people may not even notice a difference. The PASM and 19 inch wheels to me are the biggest reason to go S.

Yep I agree Doug, also many of the C2 base cars came with 19 in wheels as an option. I think the color, build and mileage on a base C2 can really increase the price however. Due to this color and build this one is lower in price but a great value for someone looking to move up into a 997.2 .

Friedman lowered the price on the 2011 GTS manual 27k miles they were flipping. As you may recall they bought it at $72k (or less) and at first tried to get $89k for it. Now they want $79,995

I think they started it out at $86,900, but they have been steadily dropping the price for sure. The last jump must have been big as they had it at $84,900 a week ago and only had the car about 40 days. Coronavirus pricing????? I doubt anything will happen to it in the next few weeks with this coronavirus pandemic on our hands. I just hope they keep restaurants, stores and domestic flights open.

For the asking price this car is one of the best deals I've seen so far. The base model I think brings the best value for the money. No frills and a ton of thrills.

Yeah, this car is a darn good deal assuming everything is in order. Especially if you plan on driving this, you can probably put a few thousand miles a year on it and get out of it in a couple of years for exactly what you paid for it.

FYI, I paid $45,500 for my 31,000 mile, 2009 C4 in Arctic over black interior. $92k car sticker. That was 2 years ago, and pricing is about the same as now. This was also private party.

I got a free set of wheels and a wing (sold both for $1900). It was a really nice car; one owner, all records, no issues. I sold it as I got a low mile C2S manual for $11k more (I preferred the C2 platform). If I were shopping for a base C2 or C4, I would shoot for $37k to $50k, depending on mileage and condition. Someone had a really nice speed yellow manual 2009 C2 up in Boise last summer for $37k, it also had about 32,000 miles, but sold quickly. That was a good deal!

That car was never worth $87,000; not with the mileage. He may now have it priced to what it should have been priced a few weeks ago. Maybe someone here can pick it up for about what he paid for it back when he got it from the San Antonio dealer!

I have a feeling, you could get a great deal on a lot of cars right now as smaller dealerships are screwed if this stuff continues on for 8 weeks or so. Prayers for everyone. This is some crazy **** shyte.

I've been waiting for a while to get a 997. I think I'm gonna wait a little more and see how the Coronavirus plays out on the prices. With interest rates going even lower and demand starting to dry opportunities to get a good deal are imminent.

I think it's largely places that are highly leveraged &/or dealers who aren't heavily backed (against their exposure) that would have problems. In some cases, that would be small dealers but in some cases, it may be large.

Supply chains are being hit as well so I wouldn't be surprised if at some point Porsche will slow their new production numbers.

Is anyone writing loans? I hear packagers of MBS can't find buyers right now, and rates are beginning to tick up. No investor wants to take on a portfolio of bonds, only to see them refinanced in 6 months if rates continue to drop. There is no upside to owning debt in this type of market.

If anyone can post Mannheim data on normally-liquid trades (say, 2014 GT3) vs 2 months ago, it will tell us what to expect. 997 trends via mannheim may be harder to determine as they are older, in various states of condition, and have more idiosyncrasies that affect price. A 2014-2015 GT3 is relatively consistent in terms of spec. Say, if a 2014 GT3 is trading on Mannheim for $12K less than it did 2 months ago ($100k to $88k) then we will likely be looking at a 12% drop in pricing across all used 911/Cayman/Boxster models. Then again, dealers may not be sending their cars to auction, in hopes of a rebound, and therefore the data won't be good.
