This has potential to be a nice deal. Certified C4S Cabriolet with super low miles and nice options. Turbo II wheels and PSE, SC, full black and sand beige leather and a lot more.

I can confirm this. The GTS currently listed at Warrington Porsche was sold by Audi of Allentown (same dealer as Subaru, so it appeared on both sites) for $67k. I called the morning it was listed and placed a deposit. They called me back a few hours later and said "sorry, someone else already bought it". That car was bought by a small dealer who turned around and sold it to P of Warrington. Same car, I have the vin from original $67k listing.

I sent an inspector from Lemonsquad to find out any obvious stuff and it was clean, but now I'm thinking I should get a Porsche tech to do a DMI because the more I read, that is very important.

Does anybody know somebody who can go to the site where the car is stored in West Chester OH to perform DMI/PPI?

Thanks!
Just make sure you realize there is a 15% buyers premium on this auction. Even if the car bids up to only $70k, that's $81.5k after fees. Suddenly a great deal is not so great.

Yup, thanks! I lost it- maybe to a forum member... That's ok.

As for the GTS, the amount of catch and release is crazy!

Wait, the car is still at a lot owned by sane dealer that had it for $67kz

Hahs, sounds like someone messsed up and listed it for too little, they figured it out and moved it over to their Pors he lot to save face when relisting it at market.

Is Warringtin Porsche owned by same company as Audi of Allentown?

No, the car changed hands. It was bought by a guy that has a dealer license and then he sold it to Porsche of Warrington. Just a quick flip. I've seen this happen countless times. You just need to be super quick if you're trying to score a deal.

I flip as well, but it does not show up on car fax or on title as I never register the car or pay taxes on the car since I had a dealer license. Is this small "dealer" showing up in chain of title or Carfax or did they tell you this happened? Just curious on this one.

Lol, I do. I was really just trying to ask how you knew there was an intermediate dealer.

I got my GTS at $10k under retail as a Mercedes dealership had it listed as an S and priced at or near an S price for a highly optioned pristine S. I caught it by running Vin # before photos got put up.

That’s interesting you say that because the 997 GTS does not have a unique VIN. Not sure how you would determine it was a GTS by running the VIN.

By using Vinanalytics.com
This is the build of a GTS I'm going to possibly buy this weekend.

Yes, the VinAnalytics software which recreates factory equipment lists, similar to a window sticker, does note trim level. But the standard VIN information does not denote GTS. Most commonly it shows up as a 4S. So insurance companies for example do not know if it’s a GTS or a 4S. Even my dealers app shows it as a 4S.

Okay, not sure why your telling me this, but I agree with what your saying as I have seen that as well. This is why I use Vinanalytics.

I thought it actually showed up as an S/4S which is what I thought might have happened when the dealer I purchased mine from listed it as an S. I checked rates on it with my credit union and they were valuing it as an S. Loan value didn’t matter as I paid 1/2 down, but I thought it funny how it came up in banking system as well.

Mine was still covered by CPO for around 10 months when it was traded in on a new Mercedes and only had about 5k miles put onnit during CPO period.
