I haven't seen any accident free 997.2 manual transmission cars for under 40k, cheapest one on CarGurus is $44k with 83k miles. But I agree the cars are better off being driven than not!

look at autotrader - there are better deals available like, right now.
base manual Carreras should be at 40 or under.

So in regard to that blue Club 997 scam that keeps making its way around the internet (I've seen it on craigslist as well as cars.com), I sent an email to the guy with some very... choice words letting him know that lots of people are onto his scheme. He was upset that he got called out and actually called my cell phone a few minutes ago and went on a ranting tirade that was largely garbled nonsense. The guy is clearly eastern european (what a surprise) and does not like being called out. I'd encourage as many people as possible to email him as text him as possible to make sure he understands what kind of person he is. -2009 C2, 45k miles: $41k
-2010 C2, 76k miles: $45k
-2010 C2S, 86k miles: $46k
That's it. There's 6 more examples from $50-$55k. As far as listing price goes, sub-$40k 997.2 manual coupes do not appear all that common.

In the last ~4-5 months the lowest 997.2 C2 MT I've seen listed was around $43k. I've seen a couple of cabs just under $40k. I don't recall if the lower price ones had accidents or not. Most 997.2 C2 MTs I've been seeing are listed around $45k-$50k. I'm sure you could get one for less than $40k with high miles although it seems fairly rare to see truly high mile (100k+) 997.2 cars. This is mostly dealer stocked cars, obviously you'll do better with private party.
It looks like that C2 above for $41k is a good deal. The build sheet is really slim, MSRP $80,705, but that's what you need to take if you want to get into a good value in a 997.2 right now. That's the lowest MSRP build sheet I've seen on a 997.2 by a good margin.

Just took delivery of my first P-car last night! Big bonus is that it has a full clear bra/PPF (maybe Xpel) on the front and sides to the rear fenders! Just need to learn how to properly wash it and figure out the ceramic coating thing. Thanks again to all who commented and provided feedback. It’s been a tremendous 2yrs of searching, learning, and getting to know the Porsche community.
