I laughed at that too. I did a KBB value and actually this is a little high at $36K.

2010 Carrera S
Black/black
Full leather with red stitching
Sport Chrono plus
Sport steering wheel
$53k 49k miles
$113.5k original sticker
It's at carmax, which seems like it has treated many Porsche buyers well as they will fix most anything that's wrong or service not up to date within the first week, and offer a very comprehensive warranty.

I like that car A LOT. The red leather stitching is just beautiful.

Really? For a C4S with full leather, PSE, low miles? I think its priced very well for the buyer.

Agreed... sold my C4 (non-S) with only 4k fewer miles for a fair bit more. Great deal if it checks out.

Low mile, PCCB, power kit, full leather - is this a reasonable asking price? The MSRP stated in the add is wrong, but seems like a really nice car.

I was basing it off of Kelly Blue Book but I agree with you that this is a great deal. KBB seems to price low.

"they will fix most anything that's wrong or service not up to date within the first week"
Just curious, does this mean that they're generally good with doing what needs to be done to the car in the week after you buy it? With the idea that you could return it to them if things don't check out?

Correct. I have never bought a car through Carmax, but have read several accounts of others who have here on Rennlist. Carmax does not allow pre purchase inspections, but they do give you a week after the sale to bring up any issues. If for whatever reason they don't want to cover something, you can unwind the deal within that week. It puts the pressure on you as the buyer to have your ducks in a row in getting the car inspected immediately, and I'm sure there is some headache in unwinding the deal, but you take risks with any used car purchase. Like most everything, it's a good fit for some, but not for others.

I just bought an atlas grey '07 C2S with SC, PCCB and power kit, 54k mi, for $42k from the original owner. The sticker price on my car was $113k.

Nice car, but seems like a "I promised my wife I would sell the Porsche, but really don't want to" price.
