$47500 seems about right for a clean car. Odd misspellings gives me pause (i.e. "susspension", "Sports chrome package plus"). "Super Sport package"? Describes color as "Metallic grey" instead of Meteor Grey Metallic. Nice car if legit.

Yeah, I thought that seemed strange as well. I’m new to this, but that price seems high IMHO.

With 80 k miles, would think more in the low 40’s. On car guru lots of choices at this level. But according to Hagerty at Werks this year the 997 has bottom out at 50k but with high mileage and the seats look a bit worn so low 40’s looks about right.

I believe he is overpaying at $47,500. I sold mine, a nearly identical build in a manual at 50,000 miles for $53,500 last fall. Figure $2,500 per 10k miles driven, and a discount for PDK. Dealer price might be $47,500, but $44k would be tops for me.

I agree. Figure high 50's for a really clean version of this with 20,000 miles, and deduct $2,500 for every 10k miles. That is $15,000 off, so low 40's is what I get as well.

This is an OK deal: I have seen similar cars here with 20,000 miles sell for $2k more; I personally know of at least 4 cars with similar builds this this and lower mileage for sale at this price, private party. I would classify it as "priced to market" and not a great deal. The PCA forum has 2 997.2 C2S for sale with 1/2 the mileage or less for under $50k.

It's at carmax, which seems like it has treated many Porsche buyers well as they will fix most anything that's wrong or service not up to date within the first week, and offer a very comprehensive warranty.

Seems like a great deal if all checks out. Almost too good.

... and looks like it's gone, or at least someone hit BIN. Manual, 5-lug GTS... doesn't get much better. While I often question the value of the GTS relative to the C2S and GT3, this one was a steal.

Rennlist, Cargurus or Ebay? Best exposure for a 997?

Depends on the car, so many variables. When I was selling, I had the most "legitimate" interest on the PCA Mart and CarGurus. I ultimately traded at a specialty dealer, but only because they had another 911 I was interested in.
