That car.. with that mileage.. It was a good buy for a smart buyer. At that mileage you can use like it was designed (meaning drive it) and it will hold value. Or sit on it like a lot of folks seem to do.. and it'll be worth a nice chunk more in 5-10 years.
I bought mine to drive.. and I think thats what a 997 Carrera should be done with.. but the scarcity factor is a real thing. A 10k mile 997.2 in mint condition in 2030, that's gonna be something folks will pay a healthy upcharge for. Particularly in a color like that.

It was a "base" build aside from the Sharkwerks pipes and Gundo hack; no PASM, no full leather, although it had SC. That is probably a $60k car if it were a C4S, but again, it was a manual, base build at $94k and therefore tough to compare.

I, for one, hope to find the perfect 997 someday, and do a Sport Design-Speedster front bumper, a ducktail rear bumper, wheel upgrades, perhaps Ohlins or JRZ coilovers (I hear they do wonders) and maybe a set of GT2 buckets. That is serious money though, in addition to a lot of time spent, and I would want to be 100% sure I was going to keep the car 5 years+.
Speaking of buckets: how do the 18-way sport seats compare to the buckets? The price difference is $10k....
On the other hand, many of us "enjoy the hunt" and like to have different cars on a regular basis, so that premium for low miles is wasted for some people.
