cool, thanks for the input, will mess with that over the weekend.

I think i will try the following:

1500 until 20%, dropping to 1000 at max.

I will then try the max rate change.

Can you run 1500 through the entire range?

Is the software out?
Cost?

Already have the module and would love to adapt some of the settings.

Default Solutions for Mac Users...

Hi All,

I wanted to share some of my experiences with using the DSC Tuner Beta for the Mac.

As you may know the current application is a Windows application and will not
run on a Mac, however there are technologies available to run Windows (applications) on a Mac including:

- Bootcamp
- VMWare Fusion
- Parallels
- VirtualBox
- WineBottler
- ...

Already being a user of both VirtualBox and Fusion I thought I would try
both to see if the application could be made to run on a Mac.

If you are part of the Beta program you will know that in order to run the
app you need to install drivers for the UART to USB bridge here:

https://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/...CPDrivers.aspx

There are drivers for both Mac and Windows here

I 1st tried using VirtualBox as my virtualization container, creating a Windows7 VM and installing the drivers both for Mac (on the host) and
Windows (in the virtual machine)

This proved unsuccessful, even after also installing the necessary VB
extension pack, the best I could achieve was to make the DSC COM
port accessible to the application, but when it tried to access it, it
failed with an I/O exception.

(note that I had to also install .Net Framework 4.0 downloaded from the MSFT site in order for the application to work)

So I exported my Windows7 VM and imported it into VMWare Fusion (v7)
and connected the UART to USB bridge drivers to Windows (not Mac) when
prompted by Fusion.

This appears to work, as I was able to reset the DSC and read the current
maps.

I dont use Bootcamp or Parallels so I cannot comment on their support for
this, the complicating factor is the UART to USB driver and how that is
integrated into the Windows (VM) runtime (properly)

So if you dont have a Windows PC, there is a solution (albeit requiring the
installation of Fusion and the creation of a Windows VM therein) to enable
you to access and program your DSC.

Best Regards

- Larry

p.s
I believe some others have had success with WineBottler in creating an
executable for the application to run on Mac OS X.

FWIW ... I'm using parallels on my MacBook. Whenever I plug in a USB device I get a box with the option to define it as Mac or Windows. I've never had a problem. That being said, I have not tried this on this interface.

Sure.

1st setting. 70 max rate, full soft on shocks until 40%, tapers to 900 fr, 850 rear at max travel.

2nd, full soft until 7%, tapers to about 650 fr and rear, 50 max rate

3rd, full soft at 0, 500 I think at 100%, 50 max rate.

Still haven't messed with g table.

I'm most pleased about the comfort setting. It's supple like my couch

you probably have to connect it to Windows in order for the app to function

Note that we should be able to exchange settings by export/import of the configuration files...

I think we need to come up a least a bit of standardization here if you're going to post DSC mods (and I think we should!)

Year/model/mods to car's suspension
and a summary of the DSC mode changes made.
Maybe name your exported DSC file with your username and a serial number.

I'm loving this thread. Thanks to the contributors. I hope to have the DCS and share contributions in the future. I agree on car specs. Thanks to TPC for opening up these options to us!
