I've seen a few videos of seenthroughglass, that dude sounds funny to me when he talks for some reason. I do like his Porsche minus the fog lights. The photo doesn't look like it but the 997 is a lot smaller than the 991 in person.

I must agree the lines of the 997 is so timeless. He himself enjoyed the rawness of the 997 (Manual) more than the 991 (Auto).

The cars are not far off in size... and it was themed perfect for the world tour after seeing the places he's been to with the thing (Australia, Dubai, Canada etc) But yes, he's very good at his job, from a regular conversation to... BOOM!... flips a switch and he's in go mode. At the end of the day he's an entertainer with a passion for cars!

The 997.2 GTS looks great from the back and not huge difference from the front. Is this your ride post accident repairs? If so, looking good man!

Those are old pics Doug, but I pick up my 997 in two days and get to drive it with dents until the national back order rear quarter panel is built at the factory and shipped to Atlanta. Porsche NA is guessing anywhere from 3 to 9 months before it’s even built.

New rear wheel is on, new rubber on both rears, and some clear bra removal and buffing to go to make her somewhat presentable. I’m just ready to drive her. I won’t see the passenger side approaching her and I back her in the garage so the damaged passenger side is always against the wall.

Porsche is trying to accommodate me by enrolling me in the Passport Program until the part arrives. Fingers crossed!!

....you and me BOTH!! I’ll park it so I can always walk up to it without crying until it’s fixed.

After six weeks without her, I realized how much I love the damn car. My buddies can’t believe I’m taking her back with battle scars and dents and actually plan to drive her like that. To hell with them, no way I’m letting her sit for months until the part arrives. She drives the same, and I miss it. “It’s time to get busy living, or get busy dying.”

bummer to hear that you'll have to drive in the slow lane so no one sees the pass side. JK,... driver er like you stole er.

I missed the story on how that happened all the way down the side. You guys are right, that is hard to look at without feeling like someone is jabbing me in the ribs.

Driving straight around 35-40mph and a 20 person Mercedes bus pulled out in front of me making a left hand turn across my lane....literally 20-30 feet in front of me.

Straight ahead hard braking would have resulted in a head on impact. I opted to swerve hard left into opposing lane (no oncoming traffic.

I barely got my nose in front of his bumper and the first impact is just above the front right wheel. His bumper slid all the down the passenger side with final impact in the rear quarter.

It doesn’t look like it, but it was a very light scrape and impact. I was shocked to see the damage after I gained the courage to get out of the seat and take a look. I bought it with 16,850 miles on it and it had just turned 18,000 over two months of ownership.

Broke more then my heart...
