2009 997.2 4S manual. IPD Plenum, Fabspeed cat-back exhaust and ECU flash. In case anyone is interested the wheels are 20 inch Avant Garde Ruger Mesh. Get lots of compliments on the wheels, but personally I'd prefer 19 inch for every day driving. I don't recommend black if you're borderline OCD.

Did a day trip to the mountains on Wed. Â A friend (Jean-Claude from Detailed Designs Auto Spa) that did my cars paint correction, ppl, & ceramic took some great shot with his quality camera, instead of me using my iPhone for all pics.

One of the first things I did after purchase was have the paint color correct and added a professionally applied ceramic coating. Very reasonable give the results and it makes washing a breeze. That said, you can't use the automatic car washes with brushes (it will void the warranty from most shops), so it's not for everyone, but I would highly recommend. expect to pay around $1,200.
I was thinking about doing a paint protection film to protect my paint rather than doing the ceramic thing. They correct any imperfection and wrap it with a clear bra, including the headlights and side mirrors plus 5 year warranty. I was quoted $1400 for the full front of the car.
I'm no expert but I recently got a paint correction and ceramic coating (cquartz professional) on my car. (also PPF on the bumper, because it was being replaced as new). One amazing thing I have observed with the ceramic coating is that your car will stay cleaner much longer and is resistant to attracting dust. My car is black, so this is very noticeable.
If I had to choose between the two options above (ceramic coating or full front PPF), I would choose the ceramic. Then again, if I did more highway driving and wanted to protect against rock chips, I might go with the PPF. Ceramic is awesome though.

so I still follow this topic (I just turned 72, and am currently on my twelfth 911, the first one I bought from new. And I am certainly considering having a
ceramic coating on it.

Some seem to think you have to choose between PPF and Ceramic. It's smarter to Do the PPF & Ceramic (if money is not the issue). PPF on full front is a must in my opinion. I'm a believer in it for sure, as I've seen what my old PPF took and had no issues under it when it was redone recently. The ceramic goes over the PPF for further protection, ease of cleaning, and shine (after the paint correction was done of course).
Prices vary though. For someone that does it the way my guy did where you do NOT seem any seems or lines, it will cost a good bit more. Worth it in my opinion though.
