After a long drive with PPF only on my bumper and headlights I am starting to consider covering the rest of the front end as well. The front end looked like a bug massacre and I already accumulated a small nick from a rock or some debris. First wash after the ceramic was effortless. The most time spent is cleaning the dirty wheels. Which by the way I used P21 wheel cleaner, highly recommended.
Thanks bro, they are BBS CH-R wheels (19x8.5 front, 19x11 rear)
The car has Eibach springs and is lowered a few inches. The calipers are power coated red. Car came with Fister exhaust with Billy Boat X pipe and exhaust tips that sounds amazing! This car had all the mods I wanted and previous owner included all of the OEM parts if I ever wanted to go back to stock. What kind of wheels do you currently have on your car?
The ride height looks perfect. Definitely some good mods, I'm strongly considering doing the Fister+X-pipe but my funds are dedicated to home projects at the moment. I have the Carrera II (or Sport II, can't remember what they are called), I really like them so I don't know that I would switch but that CH-Rs are definitely a contender.
One of the first things I did after purchase was have the paint color correct and added a professionally applied ceramic coating. Very reasonable give the results and it makes washing a breeze. That said, you can't use the automatic car washes with brushes (it will void the warranty from most shops), so it's not for everyone, but I would highly recommend. expect to pay around $1,200.
You shouldn't be using automatic car washes with brushes anyway--not unless you like scraped wheels and dulled, scratched-up paint.
snowy drive up Angeles Crest Highway today with pclub
these look like 18's, if so, could you tell me your tire sizes and susp changes, looks awesome, i have been considering 18's for some time and still on the fence, i have a set of MY02's, that i really like... but am worried about filling the wheel well properly...oh, these first world problems, glad to have 'em...

Not my car, but I’m pretty sure those wheels are CCW C10s (part of their Corsair line). Very light and plenty strong. I used a set as track wheels on my 996 for years and they were still good as new when I sold them.

Wow, very nice example. I love yellow 997s. Kinda screems for new rock guards in black tho, cause that's a whole lotta yellow. Did that on my guards red to break it up a little, cause it was a whole lotta red. Will be installing Eibachs over the winter👍
quick question for anyone out there NOT running rock guards: Bad Idea? Mine are starting to yellow and I kind of just want them gone but I also do not want to sand blast my rocker panels.
Per Reflecitions Detailing (he's removed a bunch of them), the Porsche guards are 5-year vinyl. Left on the car longer than that period and you have an 8-hour job removing them as they do not peel off the car regardless of any 'persuasion' you apply. Eric used steam and an 'eraser' disc on his drill (akin to a big pencil eraser) and it was a full day's work with the old guard coming off at a fraction of an inch at a time. The new vinyl is a 10-year product and I'll be having Eric custom-fit new chip guards with the new material. I'll likely cover the nose of the car at the same time as there are no chips anywhere on the car.
