I think if I had a GTS, I would do the GT3 coilovers and a 5 lug Conversion to run the OEM GT3RS wheels. Low key touring.

Is that an Aerokit lip and, if so, do you notice any adverse handling at high speed or in crosswinds?
I only ask as there is a discussion on another thread about installing the Aerokit lip without the matching rear wing.
I also have a GTS and am going to a Speedster/Sport Classic lip, but have no intention of adding any rear aero to balance the downforce.
TIA for any impression you can share.
(Your OZ UL wheels look great. I just mounted a set on mine in 9” / ET 47 and 12” / ET 48. They fill out the wells nicely, unlike the OEM Fuch Spyders.)

Thank you. They are the OEM GT3 Wheels with the OEM GT3 coilovers. All I wanted to mod initially on the car was the suspension and wheels after driving multiple GT3s and then C2Sssss. Now with the few power upgrades, I would love to sit an argue with the Porsche people who designed the GTS that my car is better...but only if we could all be the age of awkward 4th graders.

How funny! I also wanted to say they look like the GT3 wheels, but softened it to "almost resemble" to avoid the wrath of all the people who would write in to tell me why I am an idiot for not noticing all the differences between your wheels and actual GT3 wheels! Your car may drive better - who knows, though I am happy to test it on track against my GTS and document it for my YouTube channel. Personally I am big on keeping my car all Porsche, but have long thought about upgrading the wheels and tires to those from the GT3 RS, complete with front fender extensions. I just don't know if that would result in an actual improvement, especially without a power boost. And then the brakes would need to be upgraded, and suspension... It is a slippery slope. I have dreams about Porsche offering a factory upgrade to the 997.2 GTS in the future. I'll be the first one in line! The only point I differ with you is the Center Lock Wheels. They look fantastic and have theoretical weight savings benefits, plus they are a key part, along with the wide body and Power Kit, that make the GTS so special in the 911 lineup. Also, they are actually standard on the GT3 RS, not 5 lugs. Any other car with center locks is usually much, much more expensive and frankly having lived with them for 40,000 miles on my GTS daily driver, they have no real disadvantage over the 5 lugs on my 996.2. No 997 has a spare tire anymore, and THAT is the real inconvenience!
Please be sure to share any future updates to your car!
Thomas

It would be cool to do a shootout of sorted C2S, GTS, and GT3...GT3RS too for bonus points!
Don't forget, if your car is a 997.2, you can use the 997.2 GT3RS wheels!!

Absolutely! The hardest part is having enough drivers. Yeah, the wheels definitely fit and look great, but when you change out for bigger wheels it affects so much more. Just wish I knew how it would work for my currently stock GTS!

I am not a pro suspension guy but the GT3RS coilovers will fit on your car with the wheels with minimal work from my research when I was looking at GTS cars with the same intentions as my C2S.
If a suspension guru dialed that in it would be a really amazing set up...similar to Bilstein B16 PASM coilovers with GT3RS spec wheels.
A DSC box and upgraded ARB/drop links would round that out.
If I was tracking, I would consider the adjustable Porsche motorsport (or Tarret, BBi, Emotion, GMG...) adjustable F+R LCAs.
If I wanted to go fancy, I have only heard good things about the Tractive coilovers.
I am also not 100% sold on PASM, so for a track car, I might even consider going back to KW Clubsports, which I LOVED on 2 previous EVOs I tracked in situations where the car was my daily but I would track at least one weekend a month. ...so very versatile.
FWIW, I had 235/305 PS4S on my Lobster FORKS and I run the same sizes on GT3 wheels now. The tire definitely fits different on the wheels but the size difference is not substantial.
The GT based suspension is (to me) what I really want on a 911 street car.
I have said this before but the GT3 motor, and trans (specifically) do not seem well suited for a street car. My car is a daily that I take through canyons and up mountains weekly. I never go to the track anymore. Therefore, I started to take a step back from buying a GT3 just because it is a GT3. Nevertheless, I really wanted the GT3 coilovers and suspension over everything else comparing my C2S to the same gen. GT3.
Food for thought/discussion.
Regardless, I was shopping for a GTS originally. My plan was similar. GTS + GT3RS suspension/wheels...+ ARB upgrade/adjustable endlinks...done pretty much. Maybe. LOL. Don't listen to me, I have a disease. I have to fiddle with everything!!

997.2 GT2 RS center lock wheels fit perfectly in the GTS wheel wells. No need for front fender extensions unless you widen the track of the car.
OZ makes forged (Superforgiata) and flow formed (Ultralegerra) in exact GT2 size and offset. The forged version is lighter than OEM GT2 or 3 wheels. The form flowed is about the same weight.
I have 400 miles of Malibu canyon carving on my set (PS4S 245/325) and it feels improved over my MPSS 235/305 on OEM Fuch forged Spyders (and lighter, as well, even in 9”/12” vs stock 8.5/11.)
Since I changed tires as well as going wider in wheels/rubber, I cannot credit the wider wheels and contact patch as the sole reason. But they look much cooler and fix the crummy offset of the Spyders.
If I see a set of OEM GT2/3 RS for sale, I may move back to Porsche wheels. But I am not putting the OEM wheels back on unless I sell it. (same for the center muffler I deleted for a SW x-pipe).
With no plans to ever sell, this is all verbal masturbation- but I look forward to any new videos on your GTS YouTube channel. Upscale Audio is working on a comparison video of his (now sold) 6MT RWD GTS and his newly acquired 997.2 GT3. That should be fun to view, as he lives at the base of the Angeles Crest Hwy and some of the best 911 roads in the US. I drive them whenever I am in LA.
Lastly, I totally agree about the centerline wheels- they are light years better looking and have zero drawbacks in my experience. I’m calling a flatbed if I get a flat. In a dire situation, I’d try the tire sealant to limp away from a bad locale.

Yes I chose the OZ rear wheel of the 997 GT2 vs the GTS to get the larger offset.
