I too am in the process of de-modding my 2011 C4S. I have already pulled the RSS spacers (these were giving the car a significant shimmy in the steering wheel). Monday I'm scheduled to take the car in and have the TechArt type III wing removed and the Tubi exhaust with TechArt tips on it. Want the car looking more original and the Tubi exhaust is louder than I prefer. The car came with the OEM spoiler and exhaust so that makes it easier to swap out. The car has EVOMSit ecu upgrade. I may keep that. The car has pretty good throttle response.

Nice work. Was researching the FVD tune since I saw a post where they claimed 400hp with their tune for the 3.8L. Looks like they've reduced their claims to something more realistic. How's the tune and current engine mods feel? Have you dynoed? I was also interested in doing the comp plenum/ TB and tune. Already have exhaust.

Thanks and congrats on the FVD exhaust. I cannot say enough good about FVD products and their customer service. IMHO the tune feels terrific compared to stock. I've had other local enthusiast test drive my car vs. their stock 997.1 C2S... all came back shaking their heads in disbelief. One of my RL buddies even flipped me off while I was in the passenger seat as he was driving my car a few wks back... same to you A.J. Merrifield. Something about how every time he drove my car his own list of mods would get more extensive.

FWIW, I did dyno the car... but it turned out to be a hot day(85*F... &@! weather report) on the wrong type of dyno(2WD vs. AWD), car went into limp mode, even wrong gear(3rd vs. 4th) and it still produced results respectably north of stock. So I'm not surprised re FVD's claims. More than happy to share the dyno results if you send a PM.

I have improved the brake feel by adding the GT3 master cylinder and stainless steel brake lines. The third radiator mod provides better cooling in our Texas heat. Forged Champion wheels are stronger and much lighter than the OPEM wheels, thus unsprung weight is reduced. I have the sport chrono software without the sport chrono wart. Springs and sway bars are changed out to GT3 bars ( Tarret racing drop links) and sport PASM springs which also allow a more aggressive alignment. The Sharkwerks third muffler by pass pipes reduce rear weight by over 10 lbs and provide a better sound with no drone. Sport bucket seats are more supportive on my back than the Adaptive sport seats and significantly reduce vehicle weight. An Odessy lightweight battery reduces weight up high and forward.

Cosmetically clear corner lights and tinted windows, did I mention it is warm in Texas. The car remains a comfortable road car and corners MUCH better. With but 33,000 miles on the clock it is a keeper for a long time.
would love to see a better pic of the pipes, please... she's a beauty

USMC I'll take you up on that pm.

Looking for a little more punch from my 07 c2s. Thinking about cat bypass, ecu flash, maybe gt3 throttle body and plenum?

What's the best bang for the buck combo for the 997.1 3.8?

I'd post a pic but you modders would make fun of my yellow side markers

Different people have different approach to car builds. I like mine but for some it is overkill.
This topic is discussed all the time here.

Best bang for the buck is to put rear gt3 sway bar. Next are front LCAs - gt3 or rss tarmac, for front axle only, also with gt3 sway bar in front at same time.

Next are semi solid engine mounts. Next is LSD or TBD into gearbox. Then there will be million of other things.

Powertrain mods are not very needed for a street only car, for tracked car list is very long.

For add-on electronics a must have item is mods4cars unit, and for 997.1 cars - any c
Kind of ipod/bluetooth integration - mobridge, dension, etc. to give you handsfree calls that interrupt your stereo while driving.

mzn50,
Can you provide more detail on the "Getty Duck Sport - with custom water flow and deflectors".
I live in an area known for heavy rain storms - aka "toad stranglers" - and would love to know what you did to your Getty.

Thanks

Clear corners. All my wife would let me do. If it were my car I'd do the Sharkwerks center muffler delete, a padded steering wheel and perhaps RyeM's Focal driver replacement. But she's happy with "Penelope" (P-car, get it?) just the way it is. Oh well.
